Scott Storch is a good producer but I can’t stand him on principle.

    FUSS was GENIUS.

I don't think I ever listened to it in full more than a couple of times.

Last era where I was interested in her. Disc 2 was amazing, disc 1 was a complete snoozefest.
She never returned to being even remotely interesting after this album.

I can understand why she lost because she was over-the-top in singing the songs, only real Christina fans can appreciate that. Also, she could have gotten the best from both discs, the whole album was too long.

I wonder what happened with her style team here, does she still work with them? She looks terribly styled now, from 2008 up to present, she looked like she is dressing up for Halloween. With how things went for her in this era, Christina seemed to have been destined for bigger and better things especially since this was a promising concept album, as an artist she was more respectable, elegant, fashion-forward than peers, etc.

Back to Basics has aged like fine wine, the album hasn't dated whatsoever.

Stripped will always be "that" album for me but Back to Basics is the superior album.

I can't understand why she lost the Grammy to John Mayer as the vocals on Back to Basics are near perfection.

She really looked amazing here, and the album grew on me as well. I can't look at her outfits now for Stripped, that era was her best musically but her worst fashion. Only the "Dirrty" outfit looks tolerable today.

I always thought Here To Stay (Pepsi Version) could have slayed the charts. I guess it didn't fit the rest of the album.

Her best album. Love the concept and listening to it is such a mood. ”Slow Down Baby“ and ”Oh Mother“ are some of her best album tracks. ”Hurt“ is #3 in my list of my favorite Xtina songs. So beautiful.

And can we talk about the tour?? That was a show!

This album was an event for sure. I remember the online talk and hype over this. I loved the whole theme around it.

This. No one was taking risks at the time yet Christina managed to bring the 60s to mainstream and create bops.
