It was good for its time, but now it comes across as ridiculous, especially Busta's near-comedic flow.

It is her 4th most streamed track as of right now among all her songs and the video is going to surpass 100m streams in April. <3

Where I Belong is never coming. It was Busta’s song.

This song was amazing. And it was the reason of why Mariah was allowed back to radio and the charts in 2005.

After Glitter she was done and nobody wanted to do anything with her anymore. Justin Timberlake recorded a song with her, but when his advisors told him that they will not allow the song to ever get out because it would end JT's career, he submitted to the pressure.

Mariah needed to focus on the people who were her friends in order to speak up for her and stand up for her and stand up to prejudice, racism and trial by media. Busta was one of the first to pick up the phone. And we should be grateful to him.

He even changed the crediting to the song, so Mariah is listed as his co-main-artist on the song which is how the song was credited on the charts. He was not afraid of the media and he gave Mariah her life back, her career.

Mariah's reputation was still tarnished, but she got confident again and realized that if she would work 10 times as hard as the next pop girl (those who were popular at the time)... she could at least win some fans back.

Never not ever would she have thought that she could sway public opinion as a whole and become the biggest entity in music in 2005.

So, thank you Busta for taking care of our girl.

                          Interesting read.

I still love this song. It was great to see her finally have a hit after these unsuccessful singles.

I have to say I didn't recognize her voice when I first heard this song on the radio.

Greatest hip-hop collabo IMO. Massive banger!

                            ...

I love the alternate bridge sung by Mimi.

They performed IKWYW a few times during '03 in some gigs yet there's no footage of those performances - except for this snippet...

I thought you were going to make a Debbie Gibson reference here for some reason.

                                        Only in my dreams... ;-)

Debbie is one of the few native New York singer/songwriters followed by Mariah Carey though on social media.
If Debbie is good enough for Mariah, she is for me.

The official video for this is now at 99.5M views on Youtube!
She was kind of fragile and she had a lot to grapple with but basically she kept it all inside ...

Passed 100 million a few weeks ago. It’s Spotify numbers are cray too.

The BTS for this video is such a kii, Kween is such a hoodrat.
