  • Captain Hollywood (Project) - The singles collection

Anyone remember Captain Hollywood Project, or Captain Hollywood as he seems to call himself nowadays? After having been a member of Twenty 4 Seven, he founded his own dance project and was responsible for several of the classic 90's eurodance hits like "More and more", "Impossible", "I can't stand it", "Only with you" and "Flying high", collaborating with several guest vocalists like Nina Gerhard (Intermission) and Kim Sanders. Last year he returned with the inevitable "More and more recall", and apparently he will release a long-overdue "best of" album:

    Taken from his myspace:

    The alledged tracklist:

    02. Flying high
    03. The way love is
    04. Soul sister
    05. Love & pain
    06. Find another way
    07. All I want
    08. Only with you
    09. The afterparty
    10. Waiting so long
    11. Nothing gonna stop
    12. Far away
    13. Over & over
    14. Impossible
    15. I can't stand it

Not sure this will be released globally but he sure had some excellent songs at that time!

Well at the age of nine
    I started to rhyme
And at the age of ten
    I was rockin' again
As I grew up and as I got older
I started to move my hips and then my shoulders
And now I'm rockin' all over the nation
And that is my new occupation
I tried to get a job but I didn't manage
    Yo - and I can't stand it

Class! The Bruce Forest Remix at least!

"More and More" and "Only With You" were also fantastic.

Actually, I think "I can't stand it" was a Twenty 4 Seven track - but hailing from the time when Captain Hollywood was still a member of that group. Twenty 4 Seven later recorded a new version with their then new rapper Stay-C, and included it on one of their singles.

My favourite would be "Impossible" (the single version with Kim Sanders on vocals, not the album version with the other singer) but "Only with you" and "More & more" are classics too. Also loving "The way love is".

I'm not that familiar with their output but More & More is a tune!

If you know "More and more" then surely you must know "Only with you" or maybe "Impossible" too? They were all released around 1993...

He had some huge hits between 1993 to 1995.
Here's a recap I've made of all of his releases:
