So good to hear her voice again and actually have some kind of promotion. She sounded very happy and I can even say she sounded like she did in the years before the breakdown. Also the confirmation of the tour makes me very excited since I've never seen her live and this time I just HAVE to see her! I hope it's going to be a worldwide tour and that she's coming to The Netherlands. She didn't come here with the Circus Tour Now I want more interviews and promotion!!! I'm still hoping for a deep Oprah interview, since it's the last season of the Oprah show...
She listened to it as a whole for the first time in a car, not first time ever.
IMO she said enough about the album, it's just music after all. She's not trying to present it as the best thing since sliced bread like some stars do with their album. It's just fun music that makes you wanna get up and dance, it's very simple and there's no fake deep message in it.
I agree with Plym! Despite saying over and over again that it's fun and she's excited, it didn't come across as though she was excited! She should be calling it an amazing album that all her fans are going to love!
As a business woman, she has to market her album, really big it up because no-one else will. I'm not saying that she should overhype like GaGa but a bit more exciting to make people want to listen to the album even if they're not massive Britney fans.
Nice to hear her doing interviews though!
She's always been like that in the past like she's got something to say and ends up saying cool, exciting and fun (which is incredibly cute.LOL) and unfortunately, after all the sh!t that have happened to her, she just became bit guarded. Especially when it comes to her kids. You could tell with her being a bit uncomfortable with the lady interviewer when she was trying to interview Brit about her kids and thank God, Ryan was there on the rescue and switched topic.
Idk, it could be that I've probably missed her so much I might be a little forgiving on this interview but IMO, she sounded like herself pre-breakdown.
Surely Britney Spears stans are the one group of people who realise that she doesn't care for her fans at all, she's just fulfilling her contractual obligations. I'm sure she'd much rather move to an island alone with her boyfriend and kids than have to face the world again.
We didn't say that she doesn't care about her fans, I was saying that she doesn't care anymore with how she comes across to people because it won't matter anymore. People will always say that it's not good enough. She's moved on from trying to please everyone just as how she was during her bubblegum-pop days.
There will always be a room for not being satisfied. She's always compared to this or that pop star, why she isn't strategising her singles like this artist, why she didn't perform in this show like this other pop star, why she isn't releasing the song on iTunes at the right time, why she isn't promoting as much as this pop star, why she doesn't seem to be as enthusiastic as this artist in interviews, and so on.
She's just letting her music speak for itself. She doesn't even bother if people don't see it as her music and direction too so the same cycle continues.
if she REALLY didnt want to make the album she wouldnt of done it and would of fulfilled her contract 4 or 5 or even 6 years later and that would of been long time. but i know becuase i have been a fan since i was 5 that she does care about her fans. and im not a stasn im a fan you should look up the term stan in the dictionary please. and yes she doesnt have to promote or she is "contracted" to do is make music so anythign we get is a bonus.
^ I'll ignore this person above me. I don't get into conversations with people who call her "Godney".

That's ridiculous, you're saying people should be happy with what they get from her?? :-?
She's the one who wants our money to buy her music and her concert tickets, she should do the work to get them.

I don't need a Britney Spears avatar to be a fan of hers. One of her songs is my second favourite of all time.
Just because posters don't defend her every move doesn't mean they don't like her.
You freak stans need to get off your high-horse and realise your opinion isn't the beginning and end.
LOL no.
Now I could careless what you think about her music. But just saying the interview is terrible just because you think she's being puppet and disregard the other things that was good with the interview sounds like a bigotry to me.
And pls. don't generalize, I can say sh!t to Britney because I could and have done in the past just like the fact that they put Radar into Circus and the bonus tracks sh!ts on radar and some of the album non-singles.
Anyway I'll stop here, I don't want this thread to be locked because of this.

just as well i hate when ppl say brit doesnt write her own songs or produce her own music (even though she does do some) but if this wasnt the case. THAT IS OK. some singers arent gifted with the talents of songwriting or producing but are great dancers and singers. ppl make it seem illegal that you dont write your own songs etc when actually if its not your strength y would u do it in the first place.
Also, regardless of how much input Britney puts into her albums (even if Britney wrote all the tracks by herself and produced the whole album with no help), she isn't going to get that "street cred" or recognition from non-fans anyway. Critics, haters and non-fans have always slammed her from the very beginning of her career! It's always the same thing!
She's doing this for the fans and the fans know that she worked hard with this record!
i love the whole vibe of this album not only dpoes it sound like a great dance pop album but it also has a genuiine them and sounds very cohesive from what we've heard. and all of u saying shes a puppet becuase she said she had "fun" working on the album if she had fun she had fun what else can she say lol
She's always been like that even during the ITZ era where she had much control. She's just goofy in a very sweet way.

The interview with Seacrest was terrible.
It was 70% him talking and just confirms how much of a puppet she is.
She isn't connecting with this music by the sounds of it, she is getting shoved in front of a mic. All she told us about the album was that it was "fun".
And yet you're the one of the few people complaining about the interview.
The fact that you heard the interview and hated it when you could actually switch to another station says a lot. You care. Bye.

She doesn't care! What do you expect her to do? Act like the other divas who sugarcoat sentiments by saying "how I produced this and that" and try to act smart and genius-like by talking about the direction of the album? Sorry but she's not going to do that.
For all we know, you will still listen to the album anyway.
Then why should anybody else care either? And lol I won't be listening to this album. The two songs I've heard are below average.
Because her fans love her! She doesn't care anymore what people will say about what her thoughts are because people will judge her anyway. I'm pretty sure that if she says something serious or "smart" then you or maybe other non-fans will say that it's a scripted interview and that she memorized the whole thing to act like she's normal and genuine blah blah.
You said it yourself, you're not going to bother listening. She doesn't bother at all if she doesn't win people who don't care about her. She won't please your music interest anyway, so why is she going to make an effort to reach out to non-fans?
Also, why do you care that her fans care about her? She has fans, she's built that connection for 12 years and counting! I don't think anyone has the right to impose on people who to support.
Anyway, what's to say about Femme Fatale? She doesn't have to bluff her way through by acting like a genius when describing pop dance songs. It's a party album, great for workouts and dancing. She said it clearly.
