Brit obviously isn't reckless to be credited. That's why people should take it seriously when she has credits in songs, you know it's legit.

Stop The Track! Let me state facts...
Heather Bright, "Trouble For Me" co-writer talks about Britney's writing credits and speaks the truth.

And before I sign off, I would just like to address one thing! The media is talking trash about how Britney didn’t write any of the songs on her album… HELLO! Wake up everybody! NONE OF THESE ARTISTS WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS!!!!!! (there are a few exceptions… lady gaga, will.i.am/BEP, chris brown is starting to write a lot of his own stuff…ummmm… and now I’m running out of artists). Anyway… here’s my thing… and I feel VERY passionate about this issue. Britney could have come to me, like all these other A-list artists, and said…

“Hey, you wanna be on my album? I’m gonna need writing credit for that song AND part of your publishing even though I didn’t write anything! And then I’m gonna go on tour and gross $150 million in ticket sales and not give you any of that, even though I’m performing your song!”

I could rattle off a laundry list of artists who I’ve had that conversation with! And I’m on the other end like… “Oh okay… so you wanna rape me, but just with the tip?!” *Prince side eye* Britney’s one of the few artists I’ve worked with who didn’t try to take something that wasn’t hers. In my experience, from a business standpoint, her entire team is nothing less than a bonafide class act! If I ever have another song that she wants and another artist happens to want the same song… Britney will get it EVERYTIME! Why? Because she’s honest! And she treats her writers and producers with respect and dignity. An artist is nothing without a hit song… and a hit song is nothing without the right artist. It looks like the question I posed earlier just found its answer… maybe this is why 12 years later she’s STILL at the top!

Fun Fact: We wrote this entire song on an acoustic guitar. [Co-Written with Livvi Franc].

Another Fun Fact: The idea to record this song on Britney came from former-Jive (now-Warner) A&R Jeff Fenster (it was originally written for Livvi’s project)

A little disheartened by the sales so far. HAIM wasn't the best choice for a lead single and it doesn't look like it's gonna get much promo help from Jive/Britney. but femme fatale is a great album. Usually good word of mouth can help sell an album but a great video/performance from Brit would help too.

Hmmm...are you talking about Britney? Britney never wrote with a dozen of composers only to credit herself as the main songwriter for a particular track. Also, she has songs that she wrote by herself, and no one else.

So you mean to say that she has to pretend and fake it?

Last time I checked, she was always in the Top 10 in the most searched artist for over 10 years, I don't think public interest in her as a person or as an artist has been a problem.

I think Britney just wants to be a mum so I don't see why her fans still care about her. probably because you are the people around her that are forcing her in to it.

    I think britney is finished.
    Oh..

    j/k

I'm posting it cause she plays a beautiful melody she came up with. Sadly it was never turned into a song or maybe it did but was never published. It sounds so good. Watch from 1.40.

I know alot if ppl hu can sing but can't write songs cuz they r no good at it. But tht doesn't take away from them being a good singer and all round performer does it?

Anyways I mean Britney has obviously shown she can BE talented because of the creative control in ITZ where she wrote alot of the songs and wasn't she executive prOducer on blackout?
    - She doesn't write her own songs - being one of a half dozen writers on a song means you changed a word somewhere.
    - She doesn't play an instrument.
    - She mimes on stage.
    - Her albums sound like creations of the producers. AFAIK she hasn't got a single production credit on any of her albums. That's a shocking statistic for such a long career.
    - Her private life is a Kerry Katona style trainwreck writ large.
    - She doesn't even pretend to be articulate or interesting person.

So, really you can see why people don't really appreciate her as an artist. There are plenty of people that check a lot of the same boxes but there can't be too many that hit them all and manage a long successful career. In reality her career more about brand management and marketing than anything else. Nothing wrong with that per se as so many other artists are in the same boat.
    - She has written songs. Just because it's a bunch of writers on the credit doesn't mean she only wrote one or two words.
    - And you know that how?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5Y3uerWCzk
    - I agree with you that's a problem.
    - She was a producer on In The Zone, and the Executive Producer on Blackout.
    - Her private life USED TO be a mess. Now it's not, and all you hear about her is getting ice cream with her sons or out with her boyfriend.
    - She doesn't pretend to be an interesting person? I sure think she is. So does millions of others in the world.

    Just saying.
