I’m sure she said she couldn’t afford it. Madonna never dips into her own pockets, so I assume the video budget went on the Super Bowl performance - when you think about it GGW wasn’t brilliant and TUTR was passable.Cha Cha Instructor

For me it screams they knew the material wasn’t up to par so they have little promo after the Super Bowl and put all of their budget into the amazing tour.
having said that there are a lot of awesome songs on the album. Promo for GGW in a performance similar to the tours would have been amazing.
Madonna over stretched herself and we all know the recording sessions for MDNA weren’t her priority. I always feel like that album came out of nowhere, because I think she only spent around six months working on it.
WE was hit with delays. The movie was supposed to debut at Cannes in May 2011, freeing Madonna to focus on making her album. Instead it didn’t premier until September, then was exhibited in various festivals throughout Q4, with Madonna then (ironically) doing a full promo tour for the movie when it opened in cinemas.
I was fortunate to attend the London premiere - it was a wonderful experience: I was seated fairly close to Madonna and kept turning around to watch her watch her own movie - it was very surreal, and then she did a 15/20 minute interview at the end in front of everyone.
Anyway, my guess is Madonna committed to the Super Bowl and a tour before she even started recording MDNA, thinking WE would be finished and everything would be perfect - I wouldn’t be surprised if the original plan was to have MDNA released a little earlier so Madonna could promote it.
Otherwise, Madonna made a decision not to promote the album before she started recording the album, as it makes no sense to drop the album in March and start the tour in May, when everyone knows Madonna always rehearses for three months.I have a bad feeling about this.

I don’t agree - Madonna just didn’t have the time to promote the album. Madonna was in rehearsals for the tour before the album dropped - the album was released in March and the MDNA Tour began in May, which is crazy.

So if we assume Madonna takes a year to record an album, we’re looking at 2024/2025 release. It’s going to be a tough few years.I have a bad feeling about this.

Due to the first half of the album being a tragic mess, I never really gave 'Falling Free' a chance. It's actually a really nice electronic ballad with a very personal text - quite a change compared to the rest of the album. I feel like it would've really shone had it been included on 'Rebel Heart' instead.

Beautiful Killer, I ****ed Up and Best Friend should have replaced some of the songs on the parent album. I love all of it, including B-Day Song (yes, really) and I do think there’s a good album in there - had some of it been sequenced different and some of the main tracks relegated to bonus tracks, it could have worked much better.
As I said I enjoy every song, but I’ve never understood the massive love for I’m Addicted and Love Spent.I have a bad feeling about this.
