    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 8h
I very happy to announce I have written and recorded the end credits song for the new Hobbit movie 'The Desolation of Smaug'
    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 8h
It goes live on iTunes later tonight, stand by for the links later on
    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 7h
The song is called 'I See Fire'
    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 7h
I got the chance to produce and play all the instruments on it apart from the cello. Managed to learn violin for a day, hope you all dig it
    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 7h
Big up Peter Jackson and his team for giving me the opportunity
    Ed Sheeran ?@edsheeran 7h
It's also the first solo song I've released in over 2 years, it's not on the new album though, that fun starts next year

    So keen for more Ed.
Hard to believe it's bee so long since "+" was released.
Will take this until I can get more solo material from the man.
Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet...

Hope that this is good! It's been some time since we've had a single from him.

Nice one! Not a single obviously but good. Showcases his talent, nice arrangement too.
His new songs (you can find them on youtube) from the new record sound like +. I hope the record's different though.

Peter Jackson himself released a video for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf8Fwiy0Bkc

It's also on Warner Bros channel.

It's OK, i'm not bowled over. The film might enhance it though.

This is slightly less sleep-inducing than his other songs. With a few more plays, I think I might like this one actually.

To each their own, but I really can't see how this is any more poppy than what he's done before : o. He's always made soft (sometimes sappy, IMO) ballad/pop tracks. You Need Me I Don't Need You is the exception, but still pretty poppy.

I finally purchased this today! I was so disappointed at the movies hearing this for the first time, after Smaug's "I AM DEATH" line.... such an anti-climax!

Song has become a mega hit in Sweden, so eventually I learned to like it. It's great now for springtime.

This is brilliant. Probably the best song of the year so far.

The success of this track was a huge surprise to me. Not that I wasn't expecting it to sell a lot due to its use on the soundtrack but the markets he conquered were totally unexpected for me. I never though he might have performed better outside of the UK than in his home country. The song is haunting though so fully deserved.

I thought this was new song! I hear it on radio every now and then and they play it a lot on TV.

Can't believe this is going to be six years old next month! Time flies by so fast!

This is still and by far his best song to date. The one that made me love him but unfortunately, it never got better than that and it's quite sad how his music sounds nowadays if you compare it to this.

This song was great (the first one I liked from him) and I also enjoyed the second album, but afterwards it went down.
I am not trying to seduce you... Would you like me to seduce you? Is that what you're trying to tell me?
