Annie Clark has announced her new St. Vincent album. The follow up to 2011's Strange Mercy and last year's collaborative album with David Byrne is self-titled and it's out February 24 in the UK and February 25 in the U.S. via new label Loma Vista.

Below, check out the tracklist and new song "Birth in Reverse". It begins with the line, "Oh what an ordinary day / Take out the garbage, masturbate." It's available to stream as well as downloadable in exchange for an email address.

The album was produced by John Congleton and features Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and Midlake's McKenzie Smith on percussion. "I knew the groove needed to be paramount," Annie Clark said in a press release. "I wanted to make a party record you could play at a funeral."

    Tracklist:

    01 Rattlesnake
    02 BIRTH IN REVERSE
    03 Prince Johnny
    04 Huey Newton
    05 Digital Witness
    06 I Prefer Your Love
    07 Regret
    08 Bring Me Your Loves
    09 Psychopath
    10 Every Tear Disappears
    11 Severed Crossed Fingers

Yeah, I liked it even more than "Birth in Reverse". It's time to re-listen all her discography.

oooh, Digital Witness is awesome too, sounds like something that would've fit perfectly on her album with Byrne.

I love it how she never drastically changes her sound, but sounds refreshing with every new album. Strange Mercy took a longer time for me to sink in, but now I love it. But the honor of fave St. Vincent song will always go to Paris Is Burning

That's exactly what I thought! I didn't care much for Love This Giant, though (except for Who). Maybe I should give it another shot

I knew "Cruel" and "Actor Out Of Work" beforehand, but all in all, Love This Giant was my first real introduction to her. This album is definitely a purchase for sure as well.

Only thing i dislike is how poor the sound quality for DW is... to the point I'm going to put it on the shelf until a HQ version comes out.

The album leaked! I'm not sure how I feel yet, still listening. Nothing really surprising, it's still the same old Vinny. It took me quite some time to like Strange Mercy as much as I do now, so I think this one will be no different.

the 90 second samples have been on Itunes for awhile so I've really familiarized with the album through that, really loving it. Can't wait to hear the full lengths

Hmm... I love her albums, but this just sounds like she's repeating everything. Not impressed at all, sounds rather boring and un-inspired.

Ugh, I think I won't even check out this album. :-? I loved a few songs on Strange Mercy and Actor, but I am totally uninterested in all the new tracks I've heard so far.
