Janet Jackson 2015 Tour Dates Announced
The veteran singer is hitting the road for her North American 'Unbreakable' tour. It begins in Canada, stops in San Diego in October and concludes in Honolulu in November.
    By George Varga 11:17 P.M. JUNE 14, 2015

Janet Jackson is assuming control of her career, literally and figuratively, with her own record label, Rhythm Nation, a new album and a new tour, Unbreakable, that will launch at the end of August and run through November.

The North American concert trek is her first since here her "Number Ones" greatest hits tour in 2011. The Unbreakable tour will begin Aug. 31 in Vancouver and conclude Nov. 13 in Honolulu. It includes an Oct. 17 performance at San Diego State University's Viejas Arena. (A full list of tour dates appears below.)

At the stroke of midnight on May 16, her 49th birthday, Jackson announced her plans for a new album and tour. In the case of her Unbreakable tour, the website for Live Nation, the tour's producer, posted tour dates Sunday night, as did ticketmaster.com As of this writing Sunday night, most but not all of the scheduled tour dates appear on the Ticketmaster and Live Nation websites.

Jackson's most recent studio album of new songs, "Discipline," was released in 2008 and fared poorly commercially and artistically. Her "Unbreakable" tour and new album (presumably also to be titled "Unbreakable") announcement seem designed to re-position her and provide a much-needed career boost. BMG will distribute her album, but she will have full creative control.

Tickets for the Unbreakable tour, including the San Diego show, will go on sale to the general public June 22 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at livenation.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Ticket prices for the San Diego concert range from $45 to $250 each, plus service charges. More information on the tour is available on her website.

A pre-sale for American Express card holders will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, as will pre-sales for fans ordering Jackson's new album and through the Live Nation mobile app. Venue, radio station and Ticketmaster pre-sales will also begin at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15.

Can we assume the album is gonna be called Unbreakable then? Excited, I'd love to attend if she comes to Ireland.

I really hope this isn't the title of the album. I need some Rhythm Nation 1814 / The Velvet Rope title epicness! Anyway, I hope she does a world tour after she's done with the US.

                          Unbreakable reminds me of "Invincible"

I would put money on her just doing a handful of dates at the O2 if she came here at all.

Definitely new US dates to come, she's avoiding the entire east coast

I was going to make a thread this morning but had to go to work

I think 'No Sleep' would have actually been a good title for the tour because it represents partying and excitement. This is kinda blah IMO and I've heard Alicia Keys' 'Unbreakable' in my head all day because of it

About the UK/Europe, I don't know if she's in demand enough to do several cities. But instead of 3 dates in London like last time, I think one in London, one in Birmingham and one in Manchester would be better. She needs to drop the album and get a big hit before she announced overseas dates.

So if the tour starts in August, either the album must be coming out before then or she'll not be doing much/any new material on the tour?

Actually, the first song that came to mine is MJ's Unbreakable (song) from Invinsible (album).

Doubt she'd even sell out one night at the o2 never mind a few, she only done 2 (?) nights at the Royal Albert Hall last time and 1 in Manchester.

My point is basically I want her to come to Scotland as I am not shelling out for travel and accommodation to go see her in England

Last time, she did 3 sold-out dates at London's 'Royal Albert Hall'. It was initially 2, but an extra date was added due to demand.

It will be. She promised us a WORLD tour. And I am certain she will hit the UK. I'm just hoping she blesses us with her presence in Manila again (which was the first date of the #1 world tour)

that's about 15,000 people in attendance give or take so that's basically a sold out O2 arena right? i think she can do the O2 this time around with the right push and especially if the US dates fares well.

I don't want her to tour here until around March or so. Purely because of my own financial reasons

She should do one for each major touring city in Europe! I think there is a demand for her somehow!
