First post of the year belonged to Rolling stating "This has to be the Year of Adele's return"... well, it was not, but on the other hand this is Adele's first nomination ever here so it was indeed a good year! Most of the posts were about an album dropping in Q1, then Q2, and so on. But also sharing pics of her significant body change! And then a surprise appearance in SNL ignited the hope of new music coming, but it was just her hosting. Last post was October 31st but wait until her actual new album drops and the thread will set on fire!

This is Adele's first nomination. It won't be biscuits only nom this year. He had 17 nominations so far and 2 wins.

opened the year on page 2330. Ususal IG posts (always flawless) and the announcement of IVY Park kicked off the year. Then idea of a world tour was expected, but Corona happened. Then april came with Savage remix. Then june borught Black Parade. Both big contenders for the grammys! And july came with Black Is King, crowning a very productive year for Quenn B. Last post of the year is in page 2407.

This is Beyonce's third nomination in a row in this category.

But the year saw the release of some tracks from Glory era, giving fans something fresh to crave as they wait for things to find a solution. 2019 UKMIX Hot100 Thread of the year kicked off with jio following a discussion about Madge's films. It was a quiet year for Madonna, so the year went by with posters sharing love and appretiation for her amazing catalogue. But Dua Lipa brought some light with the Levitating feat., leaving fans thirsty of more.

This is Madonna's third nomination in a row in this category. She won in 2019. This is Benjamin's first nomination this year, but it won't be his last! He had 13 noms in the previous 2 years, taking home 4 awards in total.

This is an impossible thread to follow... The year kicked off with SpyVsSpy on page 9301, and god it was the start of a GREAT year! AIWFCIY went from #1 to out of the chart, setting a record only an artist of her calibre could even think about. And the year ended with AIWFCIY at #1 again!!!! In the middle? MC30 celebration and The Rarities. So this was Mariah's best year imo, supporting lambs in such difficult times with so much music and surprises!

This is Mariah's third nomination in a row, and she was named Top Artist Thread in the 2018 Awards.

This is Dua's first Era to get nominated, but it's not the first time we've seen aRat around here, as he had 2 noms last year and even took home one award (Outstanding Specific News Thread :: Michael Jackson expose docu "Leaving Neverland"). Dua delivered one of the hottest pop albums of the year, if not the hottest... A pack full of hit songs that keeps spinning in 2021, and she is up for the three major Grammys this year: Album, record and Song of hte Year!

Katy Perry :: Smile Era ( jjavier1978 )

This is Katy's second era to get nominated, after Witness getting a 2018 nod. jjavier1978 already has 4 noms to his name (1 in 2018 and 3 in 2019) so this might be the year he finally wins an award? Katy's career has been like a rollercoaster lately, and Smile could not fully settle things in her life. But she has a daughter now so probably that will give her time to recharge batteries and I can tell you that next era will be BIG.

Kylie Minogue :: DISCO Era ( Thriller )

Kylie's second time competing for this award, it won it back in 2018 thanks to Golden, will she repeat the feat and upset Katy twice? This time around it was no other than UKMIX Hot100 champ Thriller the host nominated. Thirller already has 18 nominations between 2018 & 2019, wth 5 wins, the most of any memebr alongside Wayne! And I can tell you that this year his name will be around a lot! The set did not spawn carrer breaking records for the australian goddess but consolidates her star power as a cool summer breeze for the music industry. Impossible not to enjoy her songs and loose sounds.

Lady Gaga :: Chromatica Era ( nympho )

Third year in a row with a Gaga's Era nominated!!! It all started in 2018 with Joanne, then 2019 had A Star is Born and now Chromatica follows. Is this finally her year? This is nympho's 4th nomination so far, following 1 nom in 2018 (Joanne Era) and 2 in 2019 (A Star is Born Era both here and as Thread of the Year!). The set follows up ASIB hot run so expectations were on the roof! And Gaga did not deceive, as the album spawned 3 100M+ songs and a very colourful and enjoyable era.

Madonna :: Madame X Era ( jjavier1978 )

Madame X was nominated last year and repeats the recognition this time around! It's the first time an Era gets nominated in two different years, but it won't be the last (see next nominee). This gives jjavier1978 his second nomination this year. I can say today that it was a VERY close race last year but Madame X ended up without the award by just 1 vote. Will it win this time? The era was one of Madonna's best this century, and although it was not as successfull as her 80s/90s/00s eras, it proved she knows how to play the game and deliver amazing tracks.

Mariah Carey :: Christmas Eras ( AutomaticBR )

This also gets nominated for a second year in a row, but unlike Madame X, it actually won the trophy last time around! So will Mariah not only be the first artist to get nominated twice with an Era but actually the one winning two times in a row? Not an easy task! This is Automatic second nomination following last years nom and win! This year in particular it was not just AIWFCIY re-peaking at #1 in US and finally becoming her UK 3rd chart topper, but Mariah delivered a brand new Christmas album with the outstanding Oh Santa Remix!

This is Britney's third year in a row nominated here, and is still waiting for a win! Based on Instinct amount of info shared it deserves the chance! The thread belonged to Ivica back in 2018 at least based on my records, so this is Instincts second nomination for this awards!

This is also Madge's third nomination in a row, and still waiting for a win! The thread got a push once Madame X was closed (1 year old album rule) and that activity merged.
