Me too. It’s much more polished than the original, so it sort of feels like a completely different song. But I do like the original a lot. Even if Yoko warbles her way through it

Nothing beats its original version. But of all the covers I've heard, Celine takes the cake.

I like the intimacy of Melissa Etheridge's version:

There’s a version I always hear in my supermarket. I know it’s not him, but it sounds as if Charlie Puth was singing it.

It Should Be Christmas Everyday - Glennis Grace

The song is originally by Suzanne Michaels. It's a very well known song here.
I wonder how it did in the rest of the world?

Merry Christmas Baby - Colbie Caillat feat. Brad Paisley

Not a favorite Christmas song of mine. But this version by Colbie Caillat and Brad Paisley is okay.
I also like how Bruce Springsteen changed the lyrics from "good music on the radio" to "Boyz II Men on the radio".
Hoping someone will someday sing "Mariah on the radio" as she is the Queen of Christmas.

LOVE this - probably one of my all-time favourite Christmas songs when sung by King Rod.

Although we do have Rod's Christmas CD, I have to say I'm not a fan of his voice.

Although I don't know of any version of Merry Christmas Baby that mentions Mariah, I just thought of this song that does:

Het is pas echt Kerstmis (als Mariah Carey op de radio is)
Translation: It isn't Christmas till Mariah Carey is on the radio

Carol Of The Bells

I go for the version by Johnny Mathis, King of Christmas, with no less than 7 Christmas albums.

I also like the version of Pentatonix.

Destiny's Child version is okay too.

But listening to Johnny Mathis' version, I can't help but wish for Mariah to do a rendition, like she did God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

Queen of Bliss by Luscious Jackson uses Carol of the Bells as a backing sound to a different vocal and the effect is really cool. I cannot find it anywhere online though. Perhaps I should post it on yuotube?

''Carol Of The Bells'' is originally Ukrainian, by the way.
(Probably the most popular Ukrainian song...)

Although my favorite version is the original 1984 version of Do They Know It's Christmas, I think the second version by Band Aid II gets too little attention. I bought the cdsingle back in 1989, but never hear it on the radio anymore and can't find it on Spotify. :-?
I love this version as well so much. So much better than the Band Aid 20 and Band Aid 30 versions.
