Ella Henderson-Chapter One
Ashanti-Chapter II
Every self-titled album ever
Every "I am" album ever
So insanely lazy.
Bring me home in a blinding dream
Through the secrets that I have seen
Wash the sorrow from off my skin
And show me how to be whole again

Didn't read the previous pages so these may have been listed already but anyway

The Big 5 Edition:

Mariah Carey - Great music. But she needs to let go of these self-referencing album titles.
-The Emancipation of Mimi
-E=MC2
-Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel
-Me. I am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse (One of her best albums. THE WORST album title in her near-flawless discography)
AND: Merry Christmas II You (WTF?)

Whitney Houston- Looove Nippy. But she (or whoever named her releases) was a little too obsessed to use her name in a lot of her albums. The debut was okay. But...

Whitney Houston
Whitney
Love, Whitney
Just Whitney

Madonna
GHV2 -
Hard Candy - and this is coming from the same woman who made Like a Prayer & Ray of Light :o

Celine Dion
Taking Chances - tacky cover, too so at least the title just fits
Let's Talk about Love - they should've used the working title - The Reason

Janet had decent album titles. I just felt 20 or Twenty would've worked better instead of 20 YO.
The whole business is built on ego, vanity, self-satisfaction, and it's total crap to pretend it's not.

Wasn't really keen on ''All For You' even though it's my favourite album. Didn't like 'Damita Jo' or '20 Y.O.' I wasn't that enthusiastic about 'Unbreakable', but I can see why it was called that.

OMG I forgot how bad Mariah was at giving names to them albums... :P

May I bring one of Canada's all time faves into the discussion? Anne Murray... Great singer but wow, she really didn't spend too much time thinking about her album titles... Just a few here:

- Annie
- As I Am
- Highly Prized Possession
- Honey, Wheat and Laughter
- Let's Keep It That Way
- A Little Good News
- Somebody's Waiting
- Straight, Clean and Simple
- Talk It Over In The Morning
- This Way Is My Way
- Yes I Do
- You Will
.:JUANito:.

Femejism - Deap Vally
Anniemal - Annie
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins

All good albums, though.

Basically all self-titled albums. I just think that this is a really uncreative way of calling an album. :-?

I thought it was clever, I think I remember reading at the time she said in future it will be looked back on as like a snapshot of who she was where she was at at that time (2002), which is kinda fitting given it was released pretty much in the midst of her Ben Affleck relationship era (the video for Jenny from the Block plus it even inculded a song titled 'Dear Ben'). :P
