^ you've just expressed my thought. Yes, Zhana was often compared with Kylie and indeed, she had much in common with her. So sad her life closed too early...

You're both right!!!

Even some of her movements are very Minogue!

She looks more like Dannii then Kylie though.

This ukrainian guy will be represent my country - Belarus, at the Eurovision song contest) I love Alekseev voice, timbre a lot, but I have some misunderstanding concerning his participation. Why doesn't he represent his motherland Ukraine or at least Russia where he's at the top of his popularity currently?! I've read his interview recently where he told that he's even more well-known in Belarus rather than in Ukraine, that Belarus is like his second motherland, belarussian people are very sincere, open-hearted, he toured the belarussian towns quite often, etc. But in my opinion the true reason is to be found elsewhere. Anyway I wish him to represent our country with dignity and possibly to be passed into the final of the ESC.

My friend Artiom has just recently released his new music project. I urge everyone to watch his new music video. The norway dark view looks perfect and it left a bit gloomy, but at the same time magic mood) generally speaking, I'm hypnotised)

I suppose he doesn't want to alienate the fanbase he has in the Ukraine and Russia.

I'm glad you enjoy it. Artiom is a many-sided, talented person and he's wonderful and superlative as a human being) and he told me that this project is very important for him, it's kinda his inner world, which shows his emotions, his worries he shares with us.

First of all I'd like to admit to some of you that here is almost half of songs come from UKRAINIAN media space!!!
Max Barskikh
VIA Gra
Gryby
Ani Lorak
Monatik and so on....
That's not correct.... Of course you can say like it's not based on origin of them and so on...
So I'd like to response on that:
In this case we can say that if let;s say Germans will sing french songs we will call those Germans as french people?!
So some of you are right when you are saying that it's not based on origin. SO WHY THAN YOU DO NOT SAY that that is UKRAINIAN Music. Because all of that songs become famous FIRST in UKRAINE, they were created in Ukraine. They grow up actually there not in Russia or what ever else....
Or if you want to say like they more popular in Russia DON"T forget that Ukraine's population is 3 times lower than Russian so there is no surprises, but it's not a point as well.

More shoter - It's Ukrainian Music but in russian language, because we DO NOT call english songs of russian or ukrainian singers as English or American music.... Ukrainian production - Ukrainian music.... Sorry anyone...

And I want to share here a RUSSIAN SONG:
I've been listening it's for a while, very liked this song.

From the sheer looks of it, he spent a lot of time and energy on that project which alone deserves to be praised.

Undoubtedly! Artiom's project, his music significantly differ from what we hear and see now - typical and mediocre pop music, his music always has its philosophy sense.
I can't help admiring this incredible guy since the day we met)

Does anybody call ukrainian artists (I mean their nationality) as a russian if they sing songs in russian language? It's a bit ridiculous comparison. I call Ani Lorak's contemporary pop music as a russian, cuz now she's a russian artist, she lives in Russia, do her music activity in Russia for a long time, all her new songs I constantly hear from russian radio stations, russian tv etc, but I'd never call Ani Lorak as a russian by nationality, she's ukrainian, but lives in Russia, do her music in Russia, honored rewards in different russian music awards, the same situation about Via Gra, Elka, Loboda, though the last one as far as I know works for 2 fronts, hold the concerts in Ukraine and gets the awards as a russian best performer :D
I'd never call Jamala, Tina Karol, Ocean Elzi's songs in russian language as a russian cuz for me they're ukrainian artists, they develop their music creation in Ukraine, but not in Russia, that is the difference. Taking for instance Natalia Podolskaya who was born in Mogilev, Belarus. She's a russian artist, cuz she lives there since 2002s, she creates her music in Russia, and I'd never say she's a belarussian artist and her music is belarussian or for instance Philipp Kirkorov, he's bulgarian and what it means that we should call the songs of the king of a russian pop music as a bulgarian?! Ridiculous :D
I posted here some Tina Karol's songs cuz we don't have Best ukrainian music thread here. But if it really touches the strings of your soul, posting ukrainian songs in russian thread then you can create Best ukrainian music thread and I will post there ukrainian music with a great pleasure)

Привет! :)

Was just listening to the great album "Sugar Kisses" by Popguns (highly recomended to the Pretenders fans). "So Long" is track #3 on the album. While listening to this track I thought to myself: sometimes somewhere I have heard this before. And suddenly remembered. Compare:

The Popguns - So Long

Released in 1979, I guess.

The great Машина Времени. :)
