In NZ too. Nevertheless, they will fall into oblivion.

I suspect they'll have one more hit or two - neither of which will come close to the success of Black Beatles, and they will be pretty much known as a one hit wonder.

She won't last long. I'm a huge fan but her new single is underwhelming and i believe her album won't even scan 1 million in US. Taylor did a good job with filling Katy's shoes (in terms of musical direction) and she did exceptionally well. Katy should've released an album in mid-2015.

I think she'll fade away like Gaga. Like really fall hard.
But that would at least lift the commercial pressure a bit and allow her to make the music she actually wants to make. I don't think her music represents her AT ALL. There are some moments like Circle The Drain and some of her ballads that show potential but the rest? Designed for Top40 and so short lived

Her music lacks iconicness imo.

Britney did basically the same genre. Even arguably less successful when it comes to singles.
But many of her songs had/have that iconic factor that Katy's music so severely lacks imo.

The closest to anything iconic she's ever gotten were imo her first two singles and California Gurls

Fireworks.

Katy will succeed with her new album. It may not be as successful as her previous albums but it will still be a successful abum.

She has a creative and intelligent team so she'll be fine.

She will still act like a mean b*tch even though she will keep on being basic and generic as hell and shading more talented people with a more legendary career.
