JSparksFan wrote:Carrie had some laughable contenders for her awards. Happy to see her take home all three. I agree that Storyteller is her weakest album to date, but, paradoxically, "Church Bells" is one of her career-best songs. For me, it was a solid era, thanks to that one and "Chaser".

I would've liked to have seen Adele sweep the pop categories, but "Into You" isn't a bad winner.

"Purple Rain" was the clear victor for me. JT winning the song-made-for-movie category was expected, but Years & Years were my pick.

Loving the write-ups for these presentations, by the way!
- Agree that while Storyteller was weak, Church Bells was very good, and a deserved winner-

- Y&Y were really close to take that award!

- Thanks :D

Welcome to Day 5! Only two more days, and in between you can enjoy Mariah's hot new single. But for now, just be happy with Chainsmokers & Halsey!

Presenting nex couple of awards, Katy Perry!

Image

Nominees for Collaboration Of The Year are
Image
Make Me - Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy
This Is What You Came For - Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna
Closer - Chainsmokers feat. Halsey
Hymn For The Weekend - Coldplay feat. Beyoncé
Cheap Thrills - Sia feat. Sean Paul

And the winner is:

SIA & SEAN PAUL - CHIP THRILLS
Image

Sia seemed to fail in her attempt to follow up Chandelier in a proper way, as her single Alive was ending its run worldwide, but CT appeared and not only it did wonderful, it even surpass Chandelier chart success almost everywhere.

For our next award, Best New Artist the nominees are:
Image
Charlie Puth
Fleur East
Kiiara
Kungs
Tini

And the winner is:

CHARLIE PUTH
Image

Unfortunately Charlie missed the train so he couldn't be here tonight, but he has sent us a very possitive and cheerful message. Congratulations!

See you tomorrow!

We are entering now the sixth episode of this year's awards! To start the post, please enjoy 7 times nominee and already two times winner... Adele

And to present Best Male, Female and group... Taylor Swift and Mick Jagger!

Image

Nominees for Male Artist Of The Year are
Image
Calvin Harris
Drake
Justin Bieber
Justin Timberlake
Weeknd

And the winner is:

THE WEEKND
Image

Weeknd, with a 4th quarter release, manages to grab this award. I didn't see this coming.
Surprising win! Initially I thought Drake would take this, but UKMIX is definetly not into him, as he leaves empty handed this year's awards. Justin Beber won this award last year and was also a strong contender but couldn't take it. JT had the hottest song of the year in the chart but didn't earn enough points for this one, he still has some noms later on.

For our next award, Female Artist Of The Year the nominees are:
Image
Adele
Ariana Grande
Britney Spears
Rihanna
Sia

And the winner is:

SIA
Image

In another quite surprising result, fav Adele couldn't repeat this award. Sia gets her second award this year, bad luck she is not up for Artist of The Year

Finally, nominees for Group Artist Of The Year are:
Image
All Saints
Chainsmokers
Coldplay
DNCE
Twenty One Pilots

And the winner is...

TWENTY ONE PILOTS
Image

They did pretty well in the Alt categories so it s not much of a surprise to see them winning this award. We'll see if they manage to release more music as succesfull as Blurryface.

Later on, or tomorrow, I'll present this year's top awards!

I thought "Hymn for the Weekend" would have taken Best Collab, but "Cheap Thrills" is a good winner. Charlie Puth was my pick for Best New Artist.

I'm not surprised to see the Weeknd win Best Male, but Sia is literally the last person I expected to take Best Female.

Please welcome... Coldplay!

We finally reach one of the Top 3 awards. To present Song of The Year, and promoting her soon to be release Pop-Rock album, please welcome... Sheryl Crow!

Image

Last year Adele won this award for Hello, and this year she is expecting to make history by winning the award for a second time... with the same song. But in a year that has been Pop dominated, she is facing tough competition from fellow nominees, specially form Ariana who won Pop Song couple of days ago.

Nominees for Song Of The Year are
Image
Hello - Adele
Into You - Ariana Grande
Make Me - Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy
Hymn For The Weekend - Coldplay feat. Beyoncé
Can't Stop The Feeling - Justin Timberlake

And the winner is:

ADELE - HELLO
Image

She did it! Even when, with the exact same nominees, Ariana took home the Best Pop Song award, this time is Adele who wins. Will she be nominated for a third time? Don't think so! But Phoenixx loves this one and usually ranks it high in his chart so who knows!

Thank you Sheryl! Tomorrow we will wrap this up with two amazing performances left, and some cool presenters as guests!

Performing one of the songs from her latest release, please welcome 9 times nominee this year, more than any other artist... Rihanna!

Presenting the next award, please welcome two of the most iconic artists of all time ... Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr!

This is the first time this award is presented. In an era in which albums are fading in favor of singles or EPs we still honor this amazing form of art. Sequence, connection, coherence, message, concept. Here are the nominees for Album Of The Year:

25 - Adele
Dangerous Woman - Ariana Grande
Glory - Britney Spears
A Head Full Of Dreams - Coldplay

She did it once again! Adele takes home all the big awards, following 2015 Song & Artist of the year. This means we will have to wait 1 more year to see another artist taking home one of those... luckily. Standing ovation.

And as we say goodbye to Elton, Eminem and Adele, we put an end to this show! Thank you all who took part, voting or just following this and commenting. It was another fun ride. Hope to see you around next year. Bye!
