Yes! I see most R&B fans don't really visit Mad About Music.

Anyway, I already made a shortlist consists of 87 songs how am I able to choose? The thing if whenever we do a throwback countdown, it's not just about the quality of the music itself but it also has to do with the nostalgia attached to each song.

Yeah definitely. When I did the 90s countdown, I couldn't put some of my faves so high because I discovered them after the 90s

I wasn't going to include Kylie either, as it is a far stretch from what true R&B is, however Body Language managed to captive a style of R&B that could be pop disco influenced. The only song I would put forward as 100% deserving is yes All I See (even more so the remix version), however I don't want to if everyone will then call me out solely because it's Kylie and stuff

Voted.

I'm pretty satisfied with my list although I'm pretty sure I missed some great songs. Also, I decided not to vote for the obvious Pop ones such as "Halo", "If I Were A Boy", "Big Girls Don't Cry" or "Umbrella" even though I really love them just because I don't think it's fair to include them but that's just me.

Can't wait to see the result! And I'm gonna try promote this countdown on my Urban/R&B AOTY thread as well. :P

I'll will send my list later, although I'm not the biggest fan of the genre. My list will be probably full of the most obvious choices

I've finally started tallying up the votes sent to me so far! I'll post some updates and teasers once I'm done, but it's gonna take a while!

I've tallied up 13 lists.

- the top 34 is all female
- the song at #100 has 49 points, so it'll be impossible to penetrate the top 100 on a lone vote
- 351 songs have been voted for
- the #1 song is 149 points ahead of #2
- the song at #7 was never released in the UK

I excluded many songs I love cause I did not consider them to be r&b, hope they won't appear in the countdown then

Btw, I don't mind if y'all talk about some of the songs you've voted for, especially the lesser known ones which you fear others may have forgotten.
