But love so soft was a gamble for her. It's a completely different sound for her and it could have went either way. I get what you're saying though and next year we can hope she get an album nom.

I voted for Ed's "Shape of you" because I think its the most decent song out of the nominees.

However if Grammy voters take the vocal performance and artistry more seriously then he may not be winning this category. In that case the award would definately go to Gaga's "Million Reasons".

I love P!nk but she's not really a Grammy favorite, Kelly's song is not stronger than Gaga's this year and Kesha had never been nominated before I doubt voters care much about here for a win.

This is definately a battle between Ed and Gaga.

Personally, that's the toughest category for me, as i really enjoy all of them.

I so wish Kesha would get it for "Praying", as it's definitely an amazing song and she really delivered it with this. "Million Reasons" would be a worthy winner as well, and it could be an amazing thing to end an amazing era for GaGa. SOY seems nearly too obvious for me... should have get some nods in the main categories (like winning SOTY for example).

I'm surprised by the results as Kelly's the vocalist of the bunch.

I hope SZA wins this, she deserves it, and I love to see an underdog take it this time.  Rihanna and Jay Z have been taking turns in this award for almost a decade now.

I had to listen to most of them, I don't think SZA will take it...it might go for Jay-Z. Still, I'm voting for her because it's by a long shot way better than the rest of the competition.

SZA for the win, although I don't care much for her. Boring category.
Rap/Sung and New Artist will be her only chance of winning.

Interesting article from HDD. So Taylor won't perform because she thinks she was snubbed and they won't let Lorde perform at the Grammy stage. I wonder if it has to do with cancellation of Israel concert.

KEN’S BIG CLOSE-UP: Timberlake’s halftime gig would keep him off the Grammy show in any case, but bad blood continues over his prior snub by the secret nominating committee. Now similar questions surround Ed Sheeran. Will said committee’s ill-considered decision to keep the ginger troubadour out of the top categories—to avoid trophy domination by yet another chart-topping, fair-skinned Brit and more charges of #GrammysSoWhite—mean Ed’s off the show as well? With the 1/28 airdate looming, producer Ken Ehrlich is deep into the heavy-lifting phase of assembling the CBS special. According to the latest scuttlebutt from inside the Grammy camp, neither Taylor Swift nor Lorde is among the slated performers at Madison Square Garden on Music’s Biggest Night. Swift, shut out by the committee, is declining to appear, these insiders say. But what explains Lorde’s exclusion?

The Lava/Republic artist is nominated for Album of the Year and is the only female act in the category. Why on earth would this celebrated performer be kept off the Grammy stage? Lorde’s team is said to be extremely unhappy—do they have a shot at appealing the decision?
