My favorite version is by She & Him.

So either:
- everyone agrees it's the best version of Marshmallow World
- or no one gives a ....
- or it was the wrong song to start with

Let's try another. My favorite version of O Come All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fideles) is by Celine Dion.

Another favorite of mine is the version I grew up with by Jim Reeves:

So what's your favorite version? One of the above? Or do you have a favorite version I didn't mention?

I know you are on to O Come... but for A Marshmallow World, I liked the Darlene Love version:

No other version of "O Come" better than Celine's comes to mind.

Simply put, no other version comes CLOSE - that is one insane vocal.

It is immensely beautiful. I also like Susan Boyle's rendition of it. It's such a great song in general.

I hope RayRay is going to highlight my personal favourite christmas song... and no it has nothing to do with Mariah. I will not tell you what it is... Maybe after Xmas or maybe Ray will put it on in this thread. <3

Xmas music is awesome in general. But my fave song, is simply The BEST

What Mariah did by mixing it with the Hallelujah chorus was just insane. It's my favorite version.

As stevyy mentioned, Susan Boyle's version is also amazing.

This duet is a real classic done by so many different artists.
I guess this duet between Michael Bublé and Idina Menzel is one of my favorite renditions.

This version is fun too. Linda Eder sings the part that usually is sung by the male voice.
The lyrics have changed as well to make it a duet between mother and son, which gives it a different feel than the lovers versions.

I have a guilty pleasure for the version by Nick Lachey and Jessica SImpson. I sing Jessica's part and that way Nick is telling me Ill freeze out there.

Nick, there's no need to spike my drink!

One of the most covered Christmas songs probably is The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire). Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera... who hasn't done a rendition of this beautiful ballad?

My favorite is by Linda Eder:

I just don't think anything will ever top Nat King Cole's version - it is iconic at this point. And the warmth in his voice mirrors the open fire he sings about.

Idina’s entire Christmas album is such a beautiful record... including her cover of The Christmas Song. It’s such a ‘The decorations are let’s sit and look at it all with mulled wine’ sort of album.

Totally not ashamed to say that once my tree is up, I put a log fire burning on my tv and play her album... followed by Mickey Bubbles (Bublé  ). Both modern classics imo.

This has been #1 almost every December since it was released in Australia, (2011-2014), held off by Adele in 2015 and didnt return to #1 until January 2017.

I'm not to fond of Idina's voice, although I did buy the album.
Michael Bubble on the other hand is one of my all time favorite Christmas albums. His voice is heaven.
And he used the Bing Crosby arrangements that I love so much. An absolute winner.

The first Christmas album I ever bought myself was A Very Special Christmas back in 1987, because of Madonna and Whitney.

Although Eartha Kitt did a very decent (original) version of Santa Baby and Kylie Minogue did a nice rendition as well, my favorite take on this song has to be Madonna.
