I read somewhere that if it was possible to purr and sing at the same time, Eartha Kitt mastered it. I like Madonna's version too. And I think they equally deserve the title.

In the interest of promoting her new album though, I'll submit Gwen's version as well:

Yes! Gotta love her.

I think Michael Bubblé deserves a mention as well for being so brave to give us a male version.

My all time favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night.

It's been sung by many artists. I've got O Holy Night on CD by:
Andrea Bocelli, Barenaked Ladies, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Bianca Ryan, Billy Porter, Carpenters, Christina Aguilera, Des'ree, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Donna Summer, Ella Fitzgerald, En Vogue, Frank Parker, Glee Cast, Glennis Grace, Gloria Gaynor, Freda Payne & Mel Carter, Jessica Simpson, Jewel, Jack Jones, Johnny Mathis, Jung, Leona Lewis, Linda Eder, Mahalia Jackson, Martina McBride, Michael Ball, Michael Bolton, Nancy Wilson, Neil Diamond, New London Chorale, Susan Boyle, Vikki Carr, Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams.

Yes, I have a lot of Christmas CD's.

My very favorite version is by Mariah Carey. And although Michael Bolton does the exact same version (and credits Mariah for the arrangement), it cannot compare IMO.

This version by Celine Dion comes close to being my favorite version.
Although I prefer the gospel feel of Mariah, the church like version of Celine Dion is also out of this world. :D

Celine by far. No more further explanation as to why. Just haven't heard a better version of it tbh.

White Christmas...

I grew up with the version of Jim Reeves and it is still my favorite.
