1. "Work" - the obvious hit single
2. "Needed Me" - to continue the Urban sound
3. "Love On The Brain" - with proper promo (by promo I mean payola on Spotify) & a music video it could've been a global smash
4. "Kiss It Better" - relaunch it with a remix with Miguel or Bruno Mars
5. "Consideration" - a closing to the album and an introduction to SZA.

They chose the right singles! It's just sad that Mariah got the non-priority memo after divorcing the CEO of Sony!  If I could choose the singles and the order, it should have been:

Honey
Butterfly
My All
Babydoll
Breakdown

I feel like "Babydoll" fit the R&B scene of the late 1990s, it's very soothing. It sounds like something Aaliyah and Xscape would have released.

01. Honey - come back with a bop, it's the direction she wanted.
02. My All - strong ballad to take it back to what she's known for, pleases the AC fans.
03. Breakdown - mid-tempo, gives the audience an idea of where she's going.
04. The Roof/Fourth of July - can't decide which, both would work.
05. Butterfly - end with a strong ballad.

1. Honey - obviously, perfect R&B/pop bop
2. My All - also obvious, very strong ballad
3. Breakdown - to show her hip hop side more
4. The Roof - the perfection that deserves to be heard
5. Butterfly - great message, perfect song to conclude the era

1. Honey (it did well, so why change it)

2. My All (when I first heard the album, this was the song I played on repeat and prayed for it to be released as a single)

3. The Roof (with better promotion and released in more countries, it should have been a hit)

4. Butterfly

5. Breakdown

6. Whenever You Call (solo) / Whenever You Call (duet)

1. Whenever You Call (Strong lead single and radio friendly)
2. Honey (Huge follow up to keep momentum going)
3. My All (the ballad that everyone will be missing)
4. Butterfly (the appeal to the gays)
5. The Roof (Mariah as Mariah gets).

(1) Honey - a seamless shift to, and natural evolution from, Daydream, both sonically and lyrically.
(2) Butterfly - it's only fair that the title track gets an official release, and it gives ballad lovers the Mimi they love.
(3) Fourth of July - obvious summer release.
(4) The Roof - punch everyone in the feels during the autumn with her best written ballad.
(5) The Beautiful Ones - punch everyone in the feels once more with a release aimed to peak shortly after Valentine's Day; the emotion and tug-of-pain between Mariah and Dru Hill is something that deserved to be showcased to the general public, with a melodramatic, melancholy video to boot.

1. Honey

2. My All

3. The Roof

4. Breakdown

5. Butterfly

They released the perfect singles but I'll forever be mad at Sony/Tommy Motolla for sabotaging this era. The Roof, Breakdown and Butterfly all deserved better chart peak positions.

IMO, coming back with anything other than Honey as the first single dilutes the era from the get-go.

This was supposedly the first time she’d creatively been herself on an entire album, and Honey felt like the embodiment of the new Mariah.

I agree with you Wayne. 'Honey' was the perfect single to launch this era.
