The Grammys should bring back the female and male categories. Those were fun. Change some names too. My categories.

Best Female Solo R&B Performance
Best Male Solo R&B Performance
Best R&B Duo or Group Performance
Best R&B Song
Best Contemporary R&B Album

They should indeed bring back the Male and Female distinction or else females will never win Grammys (in this streaming age) anymore.

Imagine how many more Lil Uzi Vert kind of trap artists will get nods this year an dmay even win considering that kind of music is hot in the market right now. :o :o

Urban Grammy superfans will probably root for the Black Panther soundtrack to dominate next year.

I actually love the Black Panther album but unfortunately not many people here share my view, I think. Hopefully it will get some recognition somewhere.

Childish Gambino will surely be the frontrunner once he drops his album since he has finally achieved mainstream hit status. Dave Matthews Band might also put rock back in the map since they did pretty well this year and have been a Grammy favorite as well.

Childish will clean up ROTY SOTY with This is America and the two Rap Nods.

AOTY will be a blood bath but I can see it having 4 Rap Albums and 1 Pop (i.e Taylor)

"This Is America" is becoming a quick little hit with very short longevity (and lots of memes) so I'm not sure how it's gonna held up by the time the voting session is opened.

For me, This is America had a video that had everyone talking, but I simply cannot listen to the song. I'd rather see J Cole take it.

So far ... I can't think of many nominations, only:

Childish Gambino (roty, soty, rap noms, best video)
The Carters (aoty, roty, rap noms, best video)
Christina Aguilera (pop album, best pop duo)
Post Malone (they'll give him some rap noms)
Ed Sheeran (soty, pop performance, best pop duo)
Pink (pop album)
Kelly Clarkson (pop album and performance)
Catdi B (aoty, rap noms)
Nicki Minaj (rap noms)
Drake (roty, soty, rap noms)
Ariana Grande (soty, pop album, pop performance)
Janelle Monae (HOPEFULLY AOTY, ROTY, r&b noms, best video)

Hopefully they'll snub Taylor. It's her time for all snubs.
