I'm pretty sure that not everyone gets to follow album releases by their favorite artists or even just general artists at the time these ablums exactly came out. Some may discover albums a lot later due to sudden interest, maybe these albums were way older to be experienced by some music fans, or maybe one may not have even been aware that this album existed and was released some time ago.
My example would be Brandy's Full Moon
. I remember how I was obsessed with "What About Us?" in early 2002, I was so excited to watch the Making the Video. I loved when she released "Full Moon" as the second single, and "Come a Little Closer" was released in Philippine radio in late 2002, but I never bought the album.
I only started listening to the album when I was able to download it off Limewire
in 2008 months before Human
came out. As much as the production is a bit dated (most of the effects were very early 2000s) I enjoyed every song, I found it cohesive despite having the first part having that futuristic uptempo feel and the second half being so ballad-heavy.
Which albums did you first experience listening to a lot later than the time it came out?
