No wonder nobody bought it. I'd hate to have that image permanently on my phone, laptop or in my house.

The colouring of Eltons resembles a wonderful crazy night at Michael Barrymores

From what I've heard, it's actually one of Elton's best album in decades, but that generic and cheesy album cover certainly isn't going to help people actually give it a chance, alongside his vile ego.

Especially embarrassing considering the guy used to give us stunning album covers like this which were very artistic and thought out

Prince's HITNRUN covers have been terrible too. The first album was pretty mediocre (Prince and EDM don't mix), but the second one is arguably his strongest work since 2006 but the dimestore covers are not going to draw anyone to actually listen to it when they see the cheesy artwork. Shame because it's actually the album we've waited for.

^ That one is very cheap, but to be honest the majority of his covers could go into this topic. I thought Art Official Age was actually quite decent for his 21st century standards.
Kendrick, Beyoncé, and Radiohead are giving me life right now.

True. He had a few iconic album covers in the 80s (Purple Rain, Parade, Around The World In A Day, Sign O' The Times) but at least half his covers are pretty dimestore and cheesy for his stature.

I've always loved the minimalism of the Pet Shop Boys album covers as far back as their first album essentially having a stamp-size photo of them surrounded with a white background. Hell, some of their covers are works of art, like the lego cd case for Very.

But then there's this...

^ That's just bad

Reminds of the most recent album reissue by Korean boy band Super Junior. K-Pop releases are generally known for their high production values, but this...

The concept behind Cyndi's cover is nice but it's been badly executed. It looks cheap.

ARTPOP cover was the absolute worst. There was too much going on....simpler the better

Cover should have been this

This cover represents the album because it has Darkness and sad artistic undertone to it

The Ski mask pic (which is still Gaga's VEVO account DP) would've made a great cover to something from the ARTPOP era (if not the actual album, it even had the title on her arm).

Even the one of her strategically semi nude with glasses on the computer part looking couch was used a fair bit for promo at the time. I didn't mind the actual cover though.
