I heard OneRepublic's I Lived (original version) a couple of times already during the past few months. But yesterday upon hearing it while driving i suddenly found tears were coming from my eyes in a quite an unexpected way. The lyrics kinda made me shiver in a good way though, then i remembered i hadn't cried for any reason in the past 5 months thus i let it go and felt better after the song finished.
Been reading UkMix everyday for well more than a decade now, and Here I am posting :)

Dido - The Day Before The Day

It's so sad that I started to skip it when I listen to "Safe Trip Home".

Omg, that song is so moving. It's really beautiful. That and the flute solo in Grafton Street are what make Safe Trip Home so good imo.

There isn't really a song that makes me cry but Stromae's "Dodo" (English Lyrics) tells a quite sad story, the shadow play in the vid is amazing.

I remember crying to Owl City's "Fireflies" because it's a song that reminds me of my last year as a high school student.

Also, I cried once to Nelly Furtado's "All Good Things (Come to an End)" and Mariah Carey's "Breakdown."

For me it would be easily Moby's "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad".
It almost always happens in the beginning of the 2nd chorus after the pause, gives me the shivers of my life.

I m not sure if I ve ever cried for a song but here are some of the saddest songs I appreciate :

The Boys of Summer - Don Henley
Lose You - Pete Yorn
Last Kiss - Taylor Swift
I Still Remember - Bloc Party
Fix You - Coldplay
Sons and Daughters - The Decemberists
Gone Gone Gone - Phillip Phillips
Travelling Soldier - Dixie Chicks
Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley & Alisson Krauss
The yuppies networking, the panic, the vomit, the panic, the vomit, God loves his children, God loves his children...yeah.
