Watch U2 Debut New Song at Joshua Tree Tour Opener

“The Little Things That Give You Away” is from the band’s long awaited Songs of Experience LP

Last night, U2 debuted a new song called “The Little Things That Give You Away” at their first show of the Joshua Tree tour in Vancouver. Before premiering the new material, Bono announced that the song is from their long awaited new album Songs of Experience. At the end of the performance, the projection screen displayed what is believed to be the album’s new cover art.
Check out the footage below via Rolling Stone. U2’s last album was 2014’s Songs of Innocence. Bono recently appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s excellent DAMN. album; all of U2 were listed as composers on the song “XXX.”

I can't wait to hear their new album. I really want them to experiment again. We need another "Achtung Baby" or "Pop". It's sad, because they are one of my favorite bands, but every album after All That You Can't Leave Behind was just a re-hash of that album.

This song sounds good to be honest

U2 shot a music video in Amsterdam today, Dutch media are reporting.
Apparently they shot in the Gashouder venue.

Interesting title to be honest. I hope their new album is influenced by a risk-taking sound. I really don't want All That You Can't Leave Behind part 5

I know...

Nothing against the album "All That You Can't Leave Behind", I love it. But every album after that seemed like it was staying safe and trying to re-create the same sound. HTDAAB was literally like pt.2 No Line On The Horizon was decent, but really felt like a pt3, and really had to grow on me to even like any songs. The last album was just tired and lazy, and was pt4. I didn't even like it. Listened to it only once. They are, and could be so much more than this.

The Blackout is a great track. I'm not a huge fan, but I like what they've released so far.

I beg to differ, their facial features are quite dissimilar (the nose, lips and eyes)

I think 'The Blackout' is the best out of the three songs so far.

Well I can't say I've gone into that much detail - I'm simply going off the album cover.
