‘Resistance Is Futile’, the new Manic Street Preachers album, will be released 6th April on CD, deluxe CD bookset, cassette and limited edition heavyweight coloured vinyl (exclusive to the Manics’ online store). It’s the first album to be recorded at the band’s new Door to the River Studio in Newport.

Always interested in new Manics material! Sounds like this album will be more rock and less indie from that trailer.

I enjoyed the first single. Not their best first single. I expect the 2nd single to be better.

It reminds me of the 80s!

I like the piano hook, but it gets a bit too repetitive and yes, guitar does sound quite late 80s.

In fact, it reminds me more of an ''Everything Must Go'' album track

It does, it's classic Manics! One of my favourite songs at the moment.

The music video tried to be a ''Motorcycle Emptiness'' role reversal, but yet again it could have sat nicely as a follow-up single to ''Everything Must Go'' in September, 1996. :)
