Ever heard a bit of a song but not been sure what it is?

Well, if it's something that you think might fit into this genre forum, ask here!

Thanks to Skelofect for suggesting this topic. 8-)

Oooh yes.

I heard a song on the radio the other day and it said something about a heard in a headlock.

Any idea's? It's sung by a male, it sounded quite downtempo.

The only thing I know that's similar to that would be 'Headlock' by Imogen Heap, but she's clearly not male...

The song in this Kylie Minogue advert?

I can tell it's by The Hives, but what's the title of it?

Thanks to anyone who can help. :)

If it's the Agent Provocateur advert (I can't be arsed to click on the link, sorry), it's 'Main Offender'.

This sort of thing happens to me all the time when I'm at the cinema waiting for a film to start. The other day I heard this nice song and tried that music ID service with my mobile phone. I just ring #DJ (#35) and then pointed the mic toward where the music comes from. A minute later, got a text message telling me what song it was!

In Canada, Fido and Rogers offer this service, I'm pretty sure carriers in the UK offer this as well.

Right, I've got a particularly tricky one here, mainly because I can't remember any of the lyrics!

I've heard this song on Zane Lowe a few times (I think) and heard it at an indie night last night - all I can remember is that it was really uptempo and that me and my mates all thought it was the Artic Monkeys. Anyone?

The best Arctic Monkeys impersonators at the moment? Hmm was it their mates Milburn with "Send In The Boys"?

You legend, how the hell did you guess that?! Just found out it was 'Creepin Up The Backstairs', what an absolutely awesome track. Cheers for that mate!

Heh, no worries, just blame my minor obsession with that song.

Here's the topic for the single, if you're interested:

I don't know where I've heard this song, or why it's in my head, but it is and I don't know what it's called or who sings it...it's a man, don't know if he's solo or part of a group and the only line of the song I have is something like '..can we get a ride, get out of this town, while we've still got time..' Anyone help?

Haven't heard it, but I'd have a guess at 'California' by Phantom Planet...
