I heard a cheesy boyband indie type song on radio 1 the other day. The lyrics were something along the lines of "....used to be my friend, but now she's my ENEMYYYYYYYYY....MY ENEMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY.

Thats the only lyrics I know but it sounded similar to a goaudio/angst teen indie rock type band

Any ideas?

OK, so there was a uk band, about 3,4,5,6 years ago, there name was something like Filthy Gorgeous, Dirty Things, Dirty Sexy...something like that...three words though...and they had a really different sound...and at least one of their songs charted in top 40....This was around the time Estelle was releasing "1980" and "Go Gone"...lol...

Does anyone remember?

(And no, its not the band from the guy off Libertines, they were really different, and i think there was a black girl or guy in the band).

The Specials, they're awesome and legendary. Their first album, The Specials, is the best of em'.

And The Bodysnatchers are pretty cool too.

Madness - obviously

together with the Specials that's holy trio of ska of early 80s

Try The Slackers or Let's Go Bowling. The Slackers started in the early 90s but are still recording modern ska and third wave ska. Same with Let's Go Bowling.

Afraid I can't help there!

Now I need some help! There's this song that's been playing on an ad on a music channel here and its been driving me nuts for days cos I wanna know what it is! It's an indie rock tune, the guy singing sounds a bit like Alex Turner and the only lyric I've heard kinda goes like this:

This house is a circus, berserkus *something*

Any help would be great!

So, I'm looking for this French band, some keyboards, it has two singers, a very cute black girl with an afro (who sings in English and in French) and a middle-aged French man (who is the lead singer, i think). They have some funny on-stage dances and the guy smokes. There is also a drummer, some guitarists, keyboard players, etc.

They have a song about an Answering machine and another one that goes "You make me feel beautiful, now more than ever" ....I saw them playing on the French channel on cable tv...But they never said their name!!

Basically, It's a kind of rock/loud catchy song. Male Singer. And the lyric had something like "I Wanted To Be Wrong" (it's definatly NOT R.E.M.!) or "I Want To Be Gone" in it.

I know it's vague but i'm desperate to find out what band it is.

Can anyone give me any ideas.
