Ghosts eventually only became avaliable for download on myspace because the remixes were taking too long to finish to be released as a 7 inch

"Don't Give It Up" is the first single - the video is done and was filmed in Morocco - just needs to be released now!!

Does that mean Ghosts will be a proper single eventually? I'd like to hear the mixes.

Yeah I think it would be the best promo for the album

I reckon at least one or two of the remixes will appear on her single releases rather than Ghosts getting a proper release

She also said some of the b-sides on her singles will be finished versions of the demos that were put up on myspace - can't wait to hear those!! "Thus far", "Those Anythings" are some of my favorite songs by her!

I got Sugababes' 'One Touch' today. Siobhan's voice was the nicest even then.

Must get Revolution In Me too.

Wow! I got One Touch last week. I can't say i prefer Siobhan's voice to Mutya's on it though. They're both incredible. I'm so glad i got the album though, i can't stop listening to Promises.

Back on topic. I was reading Siobhan's myspace page the other day, she sounds really great and focussed on the music. It's been said plenty, but 2007 really is looking fantastic!

From the site owner/forum moderator of siobhandonaghy.co.uk:

OFFICIAL NEWS
Confusion starts and ends HERE!!

Right this is going to completely contradict EVERYTHING I've said before, but heck, it's great to get a bit confussed now and again!

Ghosts / Don't Give It Up will be released as a PROMO ONLY vinyl release in February.

There is ONE video which is for Don't Give It Up. This will be released to all satelite channels around February after an exclusive premier which is happening soon.

It has also been decided that Don't Give It Up WILL be released as a commercial single; in it's own right! This will be available to everyone in April and will get a 2CD release aswell as vinyl and digital download.

A 2nd single (which is likely to be a track called 'So You Say') will be released in June, with the album to immeadiately follow.

I hope that has cleared up the confusion...or added to it!

Side note...
The forums are officially back at http://forums.siobhandonaghy.co.uk the holding page will be updated as soon as I'm back home to sort it out!

Hey, Rock/Alt fans! If you want the song Ghosts on CD and are living in UK, get The Word magazine this month! Its on a great CD that also features top tracks by The National, The Bird and the Bee, Patty Griffin, Carla Bruni, and Paul Hartnoll. It sounds so much better on CD!

I'm guessing Siobhan WILL make it a third single. She knows how gorgeous it is and how her fans desperately want it as a third single. :D :D :D

Ghosts would not perform well as a single. Don't Give It Up was the commercial compromise if you like. The title track has done its job in getting her talked about in rock circles and whipping up interest in the album. Though it DOSE dserve a video, that's for sure.

Probably my favourite album this year so far. It's just pure magic! Medevac is definitely outstanding, but Goldfish, Coming Up For Air, Halcyon Days, Ghosts, Givin' In, So You Say, Sometimes and Don't Give It Up are almost as brilliant.

I think the apparitional atmospheres of each song fits the album title perfectly! Siobhan definitely proved that she's able to create a top conceptional record which is on its way to compete with concept albums of avantgarde artists like Kate Bush.

I wasn't that fussed on what I heard from this album at the time, but I've grown to love Don't Give It Up in the last few years.
Let's embrace the point of no return.

Ghosts was the last physical CD I purchased and I certainly recouped my investment by overplaying it! Such an elegant alt-pop batch of tunes.
