HDD

Warp Records Brooklyn art-rock indie darlings Grizzly Bear—one of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s alterna-faves—is looking at an impressive first week of sales between 40-50k.
Good result, Veckatimest did 33k 8-)

I'm enjoying the tracks on first listen, though admittedly nothing has grabbed me the way "Two Weeks" did, which I thought was one of the most beautiful songs of the past ten years.

There's nothing like "Two Weeks" here, "Yet Again" being the poppiest song. In my opinion, it's definitely more enjoyable than the last record. Veckatimest was too weird at times, albeit gorgeous. Shields is breathtaking from start to finish.

^ :D

One step behind Jepsen on the Billboard 200 is an act that's never had a Hot 100 hit single, Grizzly Bear. The rock band's new "Shields" enters at No. 7 with 39,000 -- its highest chart position and best sales week yet. During release week, the act played "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" (Sept. 21) and saw its album streamed in its entirety via National Public Radio's First Listen program.

Well this isn't really my cup of tea. Some songs are quite good though, especially opening track. But i don't know, it doesn't move me... I'll play it more, of course, maybe i'm not in a mood for it or something.

I have been enjoying the album, but I will admit for some reason I just cannot get into "What's Wrong" despite reviews calling it a highlight off the album.
