Tennis Season 2017

DelPo just won his 20th title yesterday in Stockholm. He is back in the Top 20 as well. I am so happy for him.

Julia Goerges is Germany's new #1, winning the title in Moscow (her 4th final in 2017)... she is the new #18 on the WTA ranking... Kerber is down to #19.

I loved seeing Wozniacki give Svitolina the Muguruza-treatment (reference to Woz’ win against Mugu in Tokyo)! :D 8-)

Well, she has reached the final at the US Open two times and the semifinal three additional times. I still think that she can win a Slam, especially with her current mix of a very well-balanced defence and offence. She has played amazing in Singapore, and tomorrow I believe that she will win the final against Venus. No matter what, the other girls will be scared to meet Wozniacki at the Australian Open in January! 8-)

The match against Pliskova today was so exciting. One of the best matches this year (maybe behind their match in Toronto) :D

Amazing win for Wozniacki in Singapore! :D On her way to victory she beat number 1, 3, 4 and 5. She also beat number 2 Muguruza in Tokyo. With her current strong balance of aggression and defence there’s no reason that she shouldn’t have the ability to win a Grand Slam, because she has the ability to beat anyone. It’s all about peaking at the right time for her, and I hope that she will win a slam in 2018. Of course Serena is also a factor, because she is impossible to beat for everyone, when she plays her best.
