Hopefully when Murray is back to full fitness he can challenge for the number 1 spot again!

I hate to say I told you so (not you specifically) but last year when a certain someone was boasting about how great she was. I knew she would tank the next year. This year as nice as Kerber is, she's been a disgrace!

Ćorić is out as well in straight sets.
Meanwhile, Muguruza seems to be really in form currently.

go seethe. Her 2016 achievements were everything.

Jan - Finale - Brisbane
Jan - Win - Australian Open
Apr - Win - Stuttgart
Jul - Finale - Wimbledon
Aug - Finale - Olympics
Aug - Finale - Cincinnati Masters
Sep - Win - US Open
Oct - Finale - WTA Finals

#1 for 34 weeks. And a fad she is not. YE Rankings:

2012 - 5
2013 - 9
2014 - 10
2015 - 10
2016 - 1
2017 - 27?

discrediting someone over failures is really sth else in sports... as if 2017 would eradicate her 2016 season...

OT

Mischa Zverev... i hope to see him in his 2nd career QF at a GS event. Make it soon-to-be top 20 Daddy.

No one is seething at all. If you weren't such a blinkered Stan you'd realise that the 'I told you so' wasn't a slight to what Kerber achieved. We talked about her not being able to sustain her ranking due to her dogged overplaying last year. You've highlighted her best results but how many tournaments did she play?!!

She's been a terrible number 1 this year and that target on her back really got to her as she can be beaten by almost anyone!

Juan Martin Del Potro v. Roger Federer in the QF should be thrilling.
In the women's singles it's an interesting draw where there is one american in each of the QF.

Del Potro's tank will be empty plus he is sick. I don't expect it to be a big match.

^Roger isn't fully fit either.
Rafa is capable of taking the crown this time.

Perhaps it will be someone like Careno Busta. That kid looks hungry.

Its a shame Pouille is out, he is dreamy (and often plays amazing too).

It seems that Rafa's going to win this easily.
In the women's singles...all-american semifinals.

my husband, DelPo did so well this year at the Open. I hope he has a g reat run in Asia and somehow makes it back into the top 20/15.

in 2018, I want to see him back in the T10 and probably winning the USO.

He is my alltime fave player now.

If Sloane manages to maintain her form and stay out of injuries, she can be the next big thing.

She played very well and her conduct and demeanour was outstanding. Both girls look like they have a very strong friendship. :P

Roger won the Masters title in Shanghai over Rafa.

#iconic + #legendary

he has now tied Ivan Lendl (!) for second most titles won by a male (94). Jimmy Connors still ranks supreme with 109 titles.

After last year I thought Federer may struggle to reach 100.
But who would really be surprised if he finished on 110?
