Robben got the Award for outstanding performance by a leading actor!!! Sorry but that is not football, he should have received at least 2 red cards for acting so much.

Messi didn't deserve it though. I am not sure who did...

I am argentian and happy for my team anyway!! go Argetnina!!!
Although there was a clear penalty for Argentina that the referee oversaw, Germany is a deserved winner. Congrats! Good champion. I think Germany deseves one more cup at least so they can tie Brazil with 5.
Which penalty?? But the referee really wasn't good, the argentinian player who hit Schweinsteiger in the face should have become his second yellow card for that.

^ Any gay icon should reject singing the title song for Russia and Qatar, IMO. Cute Rihanna pics tho.

The best team of the World Cup. I wanted Argentina to win but Germany were the best. Well deserved. Although I don't think they played better than Argentina today.

What a glorious night! I just went home a few minutes ago... Germany did celebrate big time! I am so proud of being German tonight and it is a great thing to see my country being united somehow. We are living a dream at the moment!

Thanks to the amazing guys of the German team! They played an amazing world cup and they deserved to win. (Damn... but this match was nerve wrecking....). Personally, I think that the German team portrays the German society somehow. So many guys of the team have Polish, Turkish, Tunesian etc. rootsand they represent us, a mixed German nation which celebrate a victory together. This should be taken more often into account. Germans can be proud of themselves

OK, enough healthy patritoism xD

This world cup was just amazing and painful to watch (especially the early elamibations of so many great teams) but Brazil did an amazing job and I am glad that others weren't any riots. They kinda had respect towards all guests and it was a world cup of fairness and tolerance (when it comes to the fans)... hopefully, it will be the same in Russia.

@theArmy
I did look out for Mandy but i couldn't find her in the screen. Do u havea oIOC maybe?

@stevvy
No way. Hummels is mine. He belongs to me. He's my meat!

P.S.: Schlaaaaaand!

34,65 Millionen Fernsehende verfolgten ab 21 Uhr das Spiel im Ersten, womit der beim Halbfinale aufgestellte Reichweitenrekord von 32,57 Millionen Zuschauern recht klar übertrumpft wurde.

the first memory of German victory I have was the 1996 Euro Cup (I was 11).. I started watching the world cup in 2002... and obviously 2006 was the greatest world cup ever as it was IN Germany and everybody was ecstatic.

500,000 fans welcomed back the team and celebrated the return of the cup in Berlin today. It was soooo amazing. Germany is not what it was before the WC.

+ Helene Fischer had the cup in her hands as well ;)

Got a phone call of a friend who's there... the atmosphere must be energetic and magical! - It's a pity that I couldn't be there as well :(

I had a German day yesterday, watching old highlights and all. Here some nice all time stats on both the Wold Cup and the Euro Cup (I'm doing most of this by memory, so be easy :) ) :

World Cup, final positions (since 1954):

1954 - 1°
1958 - 4°
1962 - 7°
1966 - 2°
1970 - 3°
1974 - 1°
1978 - 6°
1982 - 2°
1986 - 2°
1990 - 1°
1994 - 5°
1998 - 7°
2002 - 2°
2006 - 3°
2010 - 3°
2014 - 1°

Euro Cup, final positions:

1960 - didn't participate
1964 - didn't participate
1968 - didn't make it
1972 - 1°
1976 - 2°
1980 - 1°
1984 - 5°
1988 - 3°
1992 - 2°
1996 - 1°
2000 - 15°
2004 - 12°
2008 - 2°
2012 - 3°

All Time World Cup

1- Brazil (224 points)
2- Germany (218 points)
3- Italy (156 points)
4- Argentina (140 points)
5- Spain (99 points)

All Time Euro Cup

1 - Germany (79 points)
2 - Spain (62 points)
3 - Netherlands (59 points)
4 - Italy (54 points)
5- France (53 points)

Klose is the highest goal scorer of all time in World Cups. But Thomas Muller has a good chance of catching him as he already has 10 goals despite being only 24 year-old.

Plus, Philipp Lahm may become the player with the most World Cup matches if he continues to play in Russia 2018. Current record belongs to Lothar Matthaus, with 25.

So Matthäus hasn't to be afraid anymore. It's a pity that Lahm has already "resigned" from the German national team.
