I just watched almost the entire thing in six weeks.. (bar the first six episodes which I saw years ago). That was a pretty epic journey.

(I will hereby only be speaking using Olenna memes, queen)

I have managed to get hold of all the seasons up to number 6 on DVD.
Just watched the one with the wedding and Robb Stark and family get the chop. I wasn't expecting that :o
The series is excellent in Dolby Digital. I felt those arrows going into me!
The special effects are fantastic too. How did they slit those throats?

Fake throat prosthetics.

When I was reading the book, I was so happy Arya was about to meet up with her family. When she didn’t, I got so pissed off and put the book down, refusing to continue. I relented... 30 minutes later

Have finished season 6, just waiting for season 7 to come out on DVD/Blue-Ray.

So far it's been absolutely brilliant. :D :D

It's worth watching some of the commentaries on the DVD's. I was watching the one where we find out why one character says only word.
Some of the cast watching had not seen the episode before. One woman was screaming as the chap held back the door, "No No NO!"
The actor himself had to endure several wind machines blowing that stuff in his face!

On the final Kat Harrington actually did punch the actor playing Bolton in the face several times, as a mistake! He said I had to buy him a pint after that.
He also said I have to be the actor who's had the most shit thrown at him ever!

I can’t wait until season 8 kicks in so I can buy the entire box set and binge it. I’d rather have the finished books, but a boy can dream

Not that I’m keeping score... but no, they haven’t. Not by a long shot.

22 Emmy nominations!

Franklin’s music profoundly touched and changed the world, because over and over it offered that bridge to salvation, to freedom.

It's mandatory Lena Headey (Cersei) and Diana Rigg (Olenna) win their respective categories!!

It sucks that we have to wait so long for a new season, but I like how they are all about the quality and money, and not awards schedule.

Lena Headey did a fantastic job. Never though i would feel sympathy for one of the most disgusting characters in the history of TV but she made it possible.

It's a shame Kit and Emilia got snubbed. It was a risk moving them to the lead categories, but I think they would've gotten a nomination if it wasn't for the gap between the season and the voting period.

I honestly think they were getting nominated due to their looks and appeal. Neither delivered outstanding performances in my person opinion. Just fan favorites.
