The format is reverting back to the old style of performances on a Saturday and results on a Sunday thankfully, with tonight's theme being "this is me"

Song choices...

Spoiler:
Bella Penfold – Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth & Aretha Franklin (with an original rap)
Molly Scott – Fake Love by BTS
Scarlett Lee – (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin
Shan Ako – Imagine by John Lennon
Acacia & Aaliyah – Finesse by Bruno Mars & Cardi B
LMA Choir – Circle Of Life by The Lion King Cast
Misunderstood – Chewing Gum (original)
United Vibe – Slow Hands by Niall Horan
Danny Tetley – Hero by Mariah Carey
Giovanni Spano – Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting by Elton John
Janice Robinson – Clarity by Zedd & Foxes
Olatunji Yearwood – Jiggle It (original)
Anthony Russell – Issues by Julia Michaels
Armstrong Martins – Story Of My Life by One Direction (with an original rap)
Brendan Murray – Break Free by Ariana Grande
Dalton Harris – Life Of Mars by David Bowie

Scarlett has a big task, Danny could be a car-crash, Giovanni's choice is rubbish and I'm worried for Janice too - odd choice. Brendan will probably do a boring stripped version.

I'll watch this tonight. Havent been following because I got bored of singing competitions.

Curious to hear the umpteenth cover of Hero. May be hard to stand out with a song that has been covered so much.

I've known Danny for about 14 years now. When I lived in Bradford he was a regular performer on the gay scene and pride etc. You're so right. He's the Christopher Maloney..

The group that performed first, were they actually live? It all sounded like backing track. The song was OK, but standard “X Factor black group” fodder.

I love Anthony’s version of Issues, his voice just really fits it. Robbie Williams needs to stop saying “popping” and him and his wife need to sit down!

What the hell was happening with Danny’s performance  this show is a mess. Poor guy.

Molly was OK but it was quite shouty.

Oh bless Janice, I know how much it means to her to be on that stage. I wish she’d been able to move outside of that damn circle, her vocal was better towards the end especially but the backing was too loud on the chorus.

I just can’t get on board with Brendan’s voice, it’s so grating.

Bella’s a lesbian guys - did everyone get that? she irks me, she’s a try hard but probably quite marketable.

Him who did that awful rap version of Story Of My Life, on god that was all over the place.

Giovanni was actually so bad he was good - I kinda loved that end note a lot! Let’s have him go full out 80s rock every week.

Any boyband with a member called Blaise  doesn’t get my vote. That chorus was all backing vocals (as was the case with 1D) but it was pretty solid for what they are.

Feel like Shan went into her full voice too soon on Imagine, she should’ve held back towards the end. It wasn’t perfect but she is a lovely talent!

The one man Reggie N Bollie... didn’t we just have someone like that on BGT? It’s all so 2014.

Scarlett... wow. That was actually a bloody impressive vocal, I am sold on that.

The choir were everything we’ve already seen on BGT.

The girl duo had a great song choice and styling, I felt like they could’ve bounced off each other more though.

The last guy was blah, indulgent nonsense.

I really just feel, especially now we’re at the lives, we’re watching a horse limping across the finish line, wishing someone would shoot it. Louis is acting as if he knows anything about vocals and patronising everybody by telling them how nice they are backstage. Ayda has nothing to say and Simon is more detached from it as ever - surprisingly it’s Robbie who’s giving the best feedback.

Oh god give Anthony a Valium please!

Gutted for Janice in the bottom three but it’s expected - her song choice was just poor. Her sing off song was also crap, I hope she didn’t choose that! She should’ve done Dreamer again tbh. Ayda ruined Janice with the “single mom” crap.

For once the novelty act had the least votes. Simon sending home a young guy over a 50 year old woman I did not see happening! He usually loves the deadlock.

Since they are advertising for next year's contestants, X-Factor will be back in 2019 :-?

Anthony and Bella are doing well on downloads, so I suspect they were top two in the vote, though because Molly's track wasn't available, it's not clear what her standing would be.
The chap that got the lowest vote was down to the original song he picked. It just wasn't catchy enough to get the public to vote for him. Though it did better sales wise.

It was obvious Robbie would go with his wife, but I did expect Simon to go with Louis. Presumably Simon didn't want to have a tie on the first show of the series?

I didn't notice Tetley's mouth problem till he mentioned it

Rak-Su definately lip synched that perfomance, which IMO was still good anyway. However the song didnt do well on the official singles chart.

It’s gone up to #4 on iTunes but it’s not top 200 on Spotify.

Scarlett has the most viewed YouTube performance out of them all with 400k. Shan has also topped 300k.

Janice is singing Robin S on the next show - expected after Simon’s comments.

Janice just needs to do a 90s dance track every week, but shut up about loving the UK.

Here for that Misundersood cover of Maxi Priest’s Close To You! I could see that doing quite well.

Don’t understand how Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word is a guilty pleasure? Shan did a great version though, some Leona comparisons, aside from her cringe spoken intro.

Molly was dull as dishwater, what even was that song?

Lauren was sensational again for me!

Howling at Giovanni, those screams  it definitely fit the theme.

God that boyband were dire this week, they’re absolutely hopeless.

The worst thing about these live shows is the judges turning to camera and begging for votes.

From last week Anthony Russell was the only act out of the 15 to make the top 100 full sales chart at 98.
This week Dalton Harris is currently 35 in the iTunes. But he is the only one to make the 100 at all!
Dalton this week outsold the rest of them, compared to last week's opening show. But it's funny how few of them are actually going near the iTunes 100 at all!

Molly was bad this week. Scarlet is getting better each week.
I thought they might have done Halloween this week.

My prediction for bottom two would be the boyband and Tetley.

If the boyband survive they are going to rename them. But they need more work with them, not a new name.

LMA Choir bottom of the heap :o
Must be because they were first on. I can understand why that lad was there, his song choice was really bad.
You sometimes think the public turn against an act, if Simon saves them when he shouldn't have. I reckon that could have happened with Janice. If Molly could get through with that song, she can get through singing the phone book!
Actually somebody tried that in the 1960's. The song was withdrawn on copyright reasons!

Yeah I fully expected Molly in the bottom two actually, the song choice was terrible. I didn't think Brendan would be there so soon but his voice is like fingernails down a blackboard.

The choir were always going to be out early doors.

I'm gonna fling my votes Giovanni's way now, he's one of the few interesting acts.

I can't spot the winner yet, which is odd for X-Factor, at least four possibles at the moment.

Annoying sound problem during Tetley and Anthony's performance :(
It could affect the vote!

Robbie's wife sounded great though

Shan is another league, pure class.

Dalton is the best male singer in the show but I want him to do something a bit different now.

The boyband are hopeless.

I feel like Scarlett needs ageing down, she’s basically becoming Sam Bailey.
