Admittedly it's only based on 6 reviews, but Daredevil is on 100% on Rotten Tomatoes :o

Daredevil is a bold step in a darker direction for Marvel, and one of the studio's greatest adaptations to date.
Daredevil stands alone as an artful, gritty ensemble drama that could elevate the superhero origin story like HBO's "True Detective" did for the crime procedural.
The reason Daredevil's so enjoyable in its "lack of jokes" domineer is because it feels like a necessary departure from Marvel in order for it to expand its ever growing universe.
Dark, brooding and violent, the slickly produced series casts the blind hero as Marvel's version of Batman, a masked vigilante as apt to get roughed up himself as pummel the bad guys.
Marvel delivers one of the greatest live-action superhero origin stories ever made. It is in the same top-tier category of true superhero origin films along with Batman Begins, Iron Man, & Superman: The Movie.
Armed with a cadre of awesome performances and intensely tight arcs that constantly build on the compounding narrative, it's intense, beautiful, and feels surprisingly fresh.

Ep 2 hallway scene tho!

I love this show. It has heart, characters you actually care about. It's not like Thor: The Dark World, trying to be funny all of the time. It's a great Daredevil series, not like that stupid Ben Affleck one with the dance scene with Jennifer Garner ffs. Love Charlie Cox! Rosario Dawson hunty, werk <3

Seems decent and dark (in more ways than one!) from first ep.

And they have the freedom to build up the character realistically so the red costume isn't there from the start which is good.

Watched the pilot last night. I enjoyed it and will watch more this weekend. Nice to see Jessica from True Blood get another series so quickly. Charlie Cox with the slight scruff reminds me of a guy I dated years ago whose name was also Charlie lol (no, he was not blind. I meant the hair and face was similar lol)

Finally watched all of them. It's very brooding and violent. Has more in common with The Sopranos than anything super-heroic (or indeed The Punisher - the two later films). The fantastical elements are played down - the numerous references and in-jokes to the comics and to the Marvel Universe continuity are all subtle so as to not blow the realism and atmosphere. It was a little slow in places and far too much of it set at nighttime meaning i had to squint to see what was happening some of the time! And Foggy as a character is a bit of a waste apart from one pivotal episode.

Some incredible fight scenes (ep 2 in the hallway which is a homage to Oldboy and the scenes with Stick and Nobu are particular stand-outs). Vincent D'Onofrio as Fisk is as intense as you'd expect from the Full Metal Jacket star.

I finished it last night too, I didn't mind the darkness, it worked for it.

The Vanessa character baffles me though, wasn't she the woman that Karen talked to early on who lost her husband and was "moving on"? So I kept waiting for a plot twist where she's been manipulating Fisk all along for revenge and yet they make it like she actually loves the man responsible for her husbands death?

Foggy did annoy the piss out of me with how big of an emo ish he was when he "found out" and went several episodes without speaking.

yea, the only character on Arrow who acted like that when discovering the truth was Det. Lance and in fairness, he's been out for blood and revenge and blames the Arrow for his daughters' death so that was different. You'd think Foggy would've just put 2 and 2 together and then been cool with it and realized this was why he saw less of his law partner lol.

I am surprised that Elden Henson is five years older than Charlie Cox though, for some reason it seems the reverse. Cox is gorgeous though

I really enjoyed it. Thought some of the violence was too much for me I.e the car door or bowling ball but necessary.

Some of the scenarios were refreshing and brilliant I.e. The corridor fight and garage fight.

I liked how they put in some subtle supernatural/ iron fist hints I.e Gao.

A few shocking deaths and a great round up at the end.

I don't know how it will fare when they are all out though and on season 2/3 will anyone be as impressed or bothered to watch?
