What Head/Earphones Do You Use?

Postby jf32 » Tue Dec 29, 2009 8:23 pm

Do you listen to your music through headphones or earphones? What make/model do you use?

I recently bought 2 pairs of these
Image
from HMV (on offer 2 for £20) but since, both have lost the sound completely in the right ear (my hearing is fine!), gutted for me I binned the receipt.

Has anyone had a similar problem? What brand would you recommend? How long does a pair normally last you?
Just cos I said it, don't mean that I meant it

I've ruined about 1000 pairs of headphones from accidentally yanking one of the earphones out of my ear by getting it caught or wrapped around my knee - and I can't listen to music with only one earpiece working. It drives me insane even when one is slightly louder than the other.

I'm using my iPod earphones, but I also have Philips headphones. Both are great :)

Oh my god, iPod earphones are the worst thing to ever touch my ears!!! They're so uncomfortable and the sound quality is crap!!! I use the ones that came with my cell phone, btw I hate those earphones that don't go directly into my ear holes! (deep inside) LOL

I've been listening to music, on my iPod & my computer with a koss headphones for four years. The quality is great and it's lifetime warranty.

I got the ones that are in the image at the top! The ambient ones! They're great you cannot hear a thing outside! And they can't hear what you're listening too! (great for when you've got secret shameful music on) :)

Aren't those in-ear ones supposed to be really bad for your hearing?

I feel guilty just listening to music on 75% volume for a few minutes with regular earphones.

Ryan and I picked out a pair. I got noise-canceling headphones from able planet. They are so AMAZING! I definitely recommend them to anyone who enjoys quality music and being able to hear every single aspect of the song.

They cost $100, but it was worth the buy :D

I'm the same! I usually put my iPod in my bag, and the headphones get stuck in there and they break.
I've broken some pretty expensive ones to be honest.

At the moment I use the Gumy earphones! I have one pink one, and one yellow one! :D

Me too!! I always get them caught around a door handle or something too! It's a good job Argos do Insurance on some of them 8-)

I've broken 11 pairs this year. I hate i-Pod ear phones, they're so quiet. There are a few from HMV that are really good, but they break easily too.

I want some of them SkullCandy headphones.

I broke mine/they broke this year and lost the receipt  An expensive breakage if you ask me! :x I've broke countless earphones (mine and other peoples!) and got new apple ones for Christmas which I can;t break! I'm really careful about how loud I listen to music though. Normally about 25% when in the house though! Plus they're still quite loud at the lowest volume IMO. I try not to go above 60-70% on my way to school tbh. Never above 75!

I've just got some cheapo JVC ones, they'll do me, as long as the music plays i'm alright.

I will NEVER understand how they get so easily tangled tho!

The iPod ones are absolutely awful. That's happened to me so much but that's actually a pretty good idea.

They sell some decent, bigger ones in HMV and for a cheaper price also - I got a really good pair of JVC ones on sale for a fiver!
