What Head/Earphones Do You Use?

Postby firefly_86 » Mon Jan 04, 2010 4:32 pm

I always go with in-ear phones although I guess it can't be advisable to use them when you basically have to plug them into your brain.

I used some JVC marshmallow in-ear phones:

but the memory-foam caps kept coming off INSIDE my ears! So dangerous! I've noticed no-one sells them anymore either...

So I bought some of the rubber cap ones:

which were great, but then eventually one ear stopped working. Then I tired some skull candy ones but one ear stopped working after like a month, which is a bit of a joke.

So I replaced them with some Sony ones that cost me £15 from Argos but I'm not mad on the sound; the volume just isn't very loud on them. So now I'm using the ones that came with my new ipod but they're not terribly comfortable.

If you can you should always buy a replacement product cover with them, it costs in the region of £3-5 depending on how expensive your headphones are and just means they replace them when an ear stops working.

I use Creative EP830. It's in-ear and I think it's pretty good.

Omg I have these :) They're my staple diet headphones!! :)

The blue ones I found broke easily than the white ones! So I got the white ones instead! But now the white ones: their ear budds keep getting stuck in my ear

'Squidging up in your ear' That's the perfect way to describe them. They feel so cheap as well... it makes me uncomfortable just thinking about the few times I've had the misfortune to wear them.

I hate iPod earphones because they break so easily. The rubber part deteriorates so fast and then the whole earphone falls apart.

I use iPod earphones when out and about, and some nice Bose headphones when at home.
You're like a bad penny =)

I love these earphones. They cost about €7 for a pair and the sound from them is amazing. One of the ears isn't working in my pair now though so I'll have to buy a new pair. :(

I feel guilty just listening to music on 75% volume for a few minutes with regular earphones.
I'm wondering too, it must be bad for ears but there is almost only this kind of earphone now but I continues buying no in-ear phones, like that:

And I'm wondering if these in-ear phones are comfortable, it looks like a cotton bud...

Yes, I'm tried too and I heard the plastic noise on my ears because when I'm walking, my earphones move...
And I don't like to have something inside my ears!

So maybe I will try headphones too...

Yeah that was my problem aswell. Head phones are brilliant. I was never a fan of them but I adore my beats. Once you listen to music on beats you will literally never listen to music on anything else again!!!

It's actually a misconception that In-ear headphones are bad for your ears, it's the other way around.

In-ear headphones provide ambient noise cancelation that help sound to be heard clearer and better than the classic ones at the same volume.
With the classic ones you have to turn the volume much louder and it could damage your ears.

Usually I buy only Sony too but my bad €10 earphones is Philips.

A headphone is probably good but not very discrete...

I use cheap ass JVC Gummy from ASDA 2 for £8 or something ridiculously cheap, coz I break all of mine within about a month.

I wish headphones looked good on me, on some people you can look cool and hip (you can tell by my language I am probably not one of them) but on me I just look like a weirdo.

I also hate what earphones have done to my hearing and i'm really scared of going deaf, but to have music on my CD player as loud as it is on my earphones, I would get an ASBO
