BONUS TRACK - LENNY's TOP ALBUMS
10. It Is Time For A Love Revolution
(2008) - My rating: 73.4
Lenny generally releass good sets, but in this case, at points, seems like an incomplete effort to me. Some good songs, with the beautiful I'll Be Waiting.
(2001) - My rating: 73.8
This album came after the amazing 5 and the strong Greatest Hits pack, so had a difficult task ahead. I like it but comparing to the previous albums, this sounded a little uninspired.
8. Black and White America
(2011) - My rating: 73.9
After Stand was released, I thought this album was going to be his best ever. The title and the sound seemed promising. It turned out just fine.
(2004) - My rating: 74.0
Starting with Lenny, his albums seem to be made with a "paint by numbers" pattern. A good formula but eventually lacks the surprising point. Only B&W America managed to surprise me a little but not enough to stand out from the rest. His career's first half is much better than his second!
(2014) - My rating: 75.2
Strut was hot and fun! A good step.
5. Let Love Rule
(1989) - My rating: 75.4
A very interesting debut album.
4. Are You Gonna Go My Way
(1993) - My rating: 76.8
His 90s era is golden, and this album is part of it. The first half of the album is amazing.3. Circus (1995) - My rating: 77.5
Ok, following AYGGMW was taough job to do, and Circus was even better!2. Mama Said (1991) - My rating: 78.9
His sophomore effort is hot as fire. Always on the run is probably his best lyrics to date. And It Ain's Over... is ecstasy.1. 5 (1998) - My rating: 79.2
Such a fantastic album! Some rock gems mixed with a sexy R&B flavour. Creative peak. How I Met... Lenny Kravitz
I was not very into his music to be honest, but by mid 90s I was intrigued by him because of his previous collab with Madonna. My brother had some of his albums, but I wouldn't click with them so gave up on him. But when 5 appeared, I was addicted to it! I stole my brother's copy and played it almost everyday for some time. When the GH was released I bought it and realized he had a strong discography. Only then I revisited his older stuff and loved it.
