Oh, so the woman in your avatar is an actual musician? I thought you'd found the image on a weird adult site or something.

*Updating this now cause I won't be home for the next four days, so I won't listen to a lot of music*

My final chart of the year sees many albums climbing a lot, a lot of albums re-entering, and other albums I recently discovered or rediscovered making new entries. First of all, last month's top 2 swap places, as Arca becomes the first male artist to ever get to #1 on my chart. Joanna Newsom makes a big climb with her latest effort Divers, while other new entries include old albums like Jessie Ware's Tough Love, Kimbra's The Golden Echo, Four Tet's There Is Love in You, Kitten's eponymous debut, Thom York's second solo album and John Grant's second album, which joins his latest record on my chart. Among the re-entries and the old albums I rediscovered are Tame Impala's Currents, Years and Years' Communion and Britney's In the Zone as part of my recent Brinty nostalgia (see Blackout reaching the top 5).

#1 Arca - Mutant (+1)

#2 Grimes - Art Angels (-1)

For the same reason that you got Poot at #2 :P I really enjoy some songs (Codes, Holding on for Life, Don't Panic) that I kept spinning like crazy. The album as a whole is a no.

She's so unlikeable now, but out of 25 songs on her album, at least 4/5 songs were bound to be good for the law of large numbers

That's what happened! I love it now, such a great album! :D

Love "Blackout", so good to see it at #5. Probably her best album to date...
I like the albums by Ellie, Lana, Janet, FKA twigs, Miley and Years & Years as well :)

Updating this a bit late tomorrow once I'm settled at home.
Expect many entries from Bowie and loads of random climbs and re-entries.

David Bowie sets an unprecedented record of titles from the same artist simultaneously on my chart (six). Bowie's discography is led by his latest album Blackstar, then followed by classic albums and his best of, namely Low, Scary Monsters, Hunky Dory, The Next Day and Nothing Has Changed. Other debuts include Melanie Martinez' debut album Cry Baby and recurrent albums like Grimes' Visions and Sia's Colour the Small One. If anyone's surprised by the absence of Rihanna's album ANTI, I tell you that I decided to postpone its debute to my next chart

#1 David Bowie - Blackstar (NE)

#2 Grimes - Art Angels (=)

#3 Arca - Mutant (-2)

standard good list of albums! I'm surprised about Colour the Small One, didn't know you revisited it (now I sound like a stalker that has to know when and which album you listen to)

I won't do my chart anymore, it was kind of a hassle for me, but I'll keep on stanning for yours here

I revisited it after listening to Breathe Me in the background of the Six Feet Under series finale  Colour was such a good album.

Noooo bish, I hope you'll soon restore your chart when you feel like doing it. Perhaps you could have a simple list without any sort of design.

#1 David Bowie - Blackstar (It's stunning)
#4 David Bowie - Low (So amazing, the atmosphere...)
#6 Joanna Newsom - Divers (Need to re-listen to this)

Janet's album is good too.

These artists are great and I like pretty much 90% of what they do:
Alanis Morissette
John Grant
David Bowie
Róisín Murphy

Try the following David albums out: Earthling, Outside, Lodger.

:D

Lol I'll need to try the album when I get some time. I know I always say it and never do it, but perhaps I'll download it when I don't have anything new to hear :P

And now, this month's chart!
Rihanna storms to the top of my chart with her long-awaited new album ANTI, which quickly became my favourite album of hers. Right behind her is Kanye's new meta-album The Life of Pablo, which gets a high debut at #2. Other new entries include old classics by Bowie (who continues to flood my chart), a belated debut for Coldplay's new album A Head Full of Dreams (off the back of a new found love for their last two single), Danish superstar Medina's new album We Survive (with barely 48 hours of scrobbles) and recurrent albums from Kanye West and Beyoncé. In the meantime, Grimes' Art Angels spends a record four consecutive months in the top 3.

#1 Rihanna - ANTI (NE)

#2 Kanye West - The Life of Pablo (NE)

Particularly happy to see Lodger & Outside, both brilliant. 8-) Róisín is perfection too, your #1 has a number of good tracks as well.

DJ is great but not among my faves on Lodger. :D
