I'm so surprised by the brilliance of Lodger, I didn't expect that at all! it's great from start to finish.CrazyCrazy wrote:Particularly happy to see Lodger & Outside, both brilliant. Róisín is perfection too, your #1 has a number of good tracks as well.
DJ is great but not among my faves on Lodger.
Thank you for the long comment dear!thankfulforkelly wrote:ANTI is pretty great actually. I was expecting something really hard work to get into but actually I found it pretty instant!
I'm gunna be honest I've never actually listened to a Kanye album he's so egotistical and narcissistic I'm not sure I can bring myself to
I love grimes and her album arts Angels! you (and everyone else who stans for the album here) are to thank as I'd never heard of her before signing up! my faves are probably Kill V Maim, Easily and Flesh Without Blood.
I have a huge amount of respect for David Bowie but apart from The Next Day and a greatest hits album I've never actually listened to an album of his I haven't listened to Blackstar yet I find death a really difficult concept to get my head around TBH and apparently the album is all about his then imminent death so I'm kinda hesitant to listen to the whole thing. Ive listened to Lazarus and Blackstar and enjoyed them though
love a head full of dreams! it's really great and definitely their best effort in awhile! second half of the album dips a bit tho fun, adventure of a lifetime, hymn for the weekend and ever glow are my faves
WOO 1989!! iconic pop album
by the way do you like Julia Holter?? I think she might be your cup of tea and I'm tired of being the only person who stans for her
Glad you like them!Phoenixx wrote:LOVE KANye & Coldplay STILL
Yep, it came out with the Waves remix EP, it's definitely my favourite remix of the bunch! They're a weird pair, but it strangely worksCarbon wrote:didn't know that Miguel added Kacey to Waves sounds good! but what a weird collab

I'm happy you love Full Circle, darling! My fave is Oracle or Alone, I think, but yes, Pray is one of the highlights!thankfulforkelly wrote:2) Full Circle - yasss this album slays, you were right about the xx vibes but that just makes me love it more I think the single Pray is probably my fave, what's yours?
12) This Is Acting - surprised to see this here I don't really like the album though Cheap Thrills is amazing though
16) All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend - dk whether or not to check this out I loathed her cover for last year's John Lewis add but I heard her single conquerer or conquest (I can't remember it's name, something beginning with c ) and actually really liked it! do u think I should check it out?
It's the best song lol.thankfulforkelly wrote:ugh I wanna hear lemonade so bad my friend bought it and I heard Daddy Lessons and I was SLAYED I'm not really a huge Bey fan by any stretch, but for some reason I'm so desperate
Lemonade is GREAT, I'm glad you managed to listen to it! Self-titled is still better tho, IMO.thankfulforkelly wrote:ugh I wanna hear lemonade so bad my friend bought it and I heard Daddy Lessons and I was SLAYED I'm not really a huge Bey fan by any stretch, but for some reason I'm so desperate
Love Katy! although I haven't listened to honey (yet)
replayed ANTI last night and it's good! great album really
lol I saw Alaska in the pure pop thread and have the single a listen but it was all too much
I recognise Christine and the Queens....are they/she French per chance?
Of course, I'm almost a Beyoncé stanAirwrecka wrote:Glad you're enjoying Lemonade, Zory.
Tell me, are there any less dancey / poppier tracks on Honey like Crying For No Reason or Still?
You should check out Shura, definitely! I think you'd like her!Tansike wrote:Yay for Ariana and Shania on the songs of the month list, have to check out that Shura girl though, she seems interesting...
When it comes to the albums, i really love that high debut for Ariana. Probably the best mainstream album of 2016 so far!
Also liking Grimes' entry. Beyoncé, James Blake and Radiohead are all on my 'to-check' list...
