As you all know, I quite like the Eurovision Song Contest (mainly the idea of cheesy songs competing with each other than the actual songs). I'm also into alternative and indie music more than any other genre.
You may also know, that frankly Eurovision is no place for alternative music and indie songs. Most of them struggle to get past the national final stage so I've decided to collect them from national finals of different years and put them in some sort of order. Maybe someone will be interested. I hope so. :D

#20. Moi - Bensin
Image
Country: Norway
Year: 2014
Result: Lost in the national SF
A piece of slick scandinavian electropop which is considered a viable alternative genre at the moment.
During the live performance it may have turned out to be a bit too boring for general public

#19. Lieminen - Pehmeiden arvojen vaalijat
Image
Country: Finland
Year: 2016
Result: Lost in the national SF
A recent performer with a Daft Punk-ish synthpop song which is quite danceable. Weird music video only added to the strange feel of the song.

#18. Dux - Strippers
Image
Country: Belarus
Year: 2014
Result: Lost in the national final
The song structure itself is a bit strange, it feels as a weird mix of garage rock and pop. I like it, but it never ever looked like a potential qualifier (which makes it better though). And one of the most profound male questions to have been asked "Where do all the strippers go?"
