First, I'm relighting this post - as very few people have submitted votes this week - where is everyone? The new chart will be put slightly earlier, as I'm away tomorrow night - will have to put the chart up at lunchtime - therefore the new entries list might not be 100% accurate. At the moment, from what I see, Atomic Kitten, Joe Cocker and Nikki Webster are NOT releasing next week - but I'm not sure about it.
The second point is a change to the chart.
I agree with the people who've said that the chart would be far more interesting as a top 40. I'm also a big fan of decimalisation, however, and therefore having 7 or 8 votes each seems rather bizarre. Also, I consider 10 votes to be far too many - even if the chart is longer. Therefore, starting tomorrow, the format will be almost the same as it currently is, however...
The chart will now be a top 40. The "Dropped Out" list will reflect that - listing songs that fall out of the top 40 - not the top 20. You will be able to vote precisely as before, and there will STILL be only 5 votes each.
If this system doesn't work, I might investigate something slightly different (like possibly giving people more votes)
Ah well, noone else voted - it's now closed, on a slightly smaller number of votes.
