Come well at least you;ve had a few vots and you have had 4 now after the one above.

i am not voting because birntey spears is in it and i do agree with muztrik that it is not a very wide range of songs. here's what i think you shoulda of put in to suit everyone's tastes and you can vote for the any above if you like if you prefer

oasis - stop crying your heart out
beverley knigyht - gold
eminem - without me
janet jackson - feel it boy
mis-teeq - roll on/this is how we do it
christina milian - when you look at me
elvis and jxl - little less conversation
gareth gates - stupid mistake
darius - colourblind
beyonece - work it out

that is not my vote but you could use these instead of the other ones. i have tried to put a range of music in but i hated writing elivis. oasis, darius, gareth and eminem in the rest were ok

-----------------
the brand new single from alicia keys "how come you don't call me" is out now

Also take a look at www.virtual-pop.cjb.net

Hi multibeats and welcome to UKMix.

ukgnipper - I edited your post just to remove the spaces - I guess you'd done so by accident - but you'd put about 12 blank lines at the end of your post - just neatens it up.

I think that multibeats was wanting people to vote for whatever they wanted to - he was just suggesting a chart to start us off.

However, this has posed another interesting question - "What constitutes a varied song list?

I'd say that

that list is 70% pop! Surely it can't be considered balanced!! On the other hand

60% of ukgnipper's list is urban (50% being rnb) so I'd say that's not much better.

What are people's suggestions to the following list?

Gareth Gates - Anyone Of Us (Stupid Mistake)
Ashanti - Foolish
Athlete - You Got The Style
Dee Dee - Forever
Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Get Over You
Eminem - Without Me
Bryan Adams - Here I Am
Atomic Kitten - It's OK
Wyclef Jean featuring Claudette Ortiz - Two Wrongs (Don't Make A Right)
Tim Deluxe featuring Sam Obernik - It Just Won't Do

Now that's surely a lot more varied

that is a bit more varied matthew, perhaps a tad more pop but it would be very hard (and quite pointless) to create a fully varied list that everyone will agree on.

so to vote for the chart do i put my favourite ten songs of the moment or do i put multibeats original list in the order of my preferences?

I think tohave a vried chart you really do have to listen to all music - which very few of us do so as Pm_01 said it will be very hard to find a chart that everyone agrees on.

WOW! Talk about taking things the wrong way! God! All you do is vote for your favourite tracks to go into the chart! This weeks was just an idea to show you - I just picked them off a playlist!
Why dont you vote for the 'varying' styles then and theyll be included! Thats the idea! Not to start a big discussion about varying styles! If you like Rap - vote that song, if you like pop vote that song! At the end of the day, most of them will get in! Its your choice! Like Big Brother! Every song mentioned on here can go into the chart!

Okay - I'll vote for it - it's just someone thought that it could only be songs off that list.

I take it you want 10 songs from each of us... okay, here goes

1) Elton John and Alessandro Safina - Your Song
2) Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles
3) Amy Studt - Just A Little Girl
4) Ja Rule featuring Case - Livin' It Up
5) Paul Heaton - Perfect Couple
6) Streets - Weak Become Heroes
7) Alicia Keys - How Come You Don't Call Me
8) New Found Glory - My Friends Over You
9) Calling - Wherever You Will Go
10) P.Diddy featuring Usher - I Need A Girl

Good luck with your chart - and sorry if some people took it the wrong way - I assumed that was just an example (or maybe your votes for this week). I just hope people don't desert the UKMIX chart - do feel free to vote on that one yourself, multibeats.
