Hiya! Yes, it's that time of year again! Today I began compiling my chart of the year! This year we'll see 100 singles, and 20 albums get onto the final chart!

So far I have 154 singles, and 35 albums! I'll begin my countdown on December 1st, until then would be good to read some predictions!

I've also included the top 10 artists, in alphabetical order! Vote for which one you think will have the number 1 single, and with what song!

Okay so here we go, the first batch! I must add my thank you to Martin for making the pretty pictures! mwah!

okay so here goes... Im gonna countdown singles 100-81 today, albums 10-5 tomorrow and so and so forth! :D hope you all like...

ImageImageImageImage

number 100 Natalie Imbruglia Shiver
Not the best of starts for Nat, this is her first of only 2 entries in the yearly countdown, Shiver is here, we'll see how high Counting Down The Days gets her...

number 99 Lucie Silvas The Game Is Won
Lucie Silvas' first entry of 3 this year! She's had a great year, this wasn't one of her strongest songs but the video did it for me! She just scrapes onto the chart with us!

number 98 Craig David I'm Sorry (Just Don't Love You Nomore)
Craigs only decent song of the year get's him to 98!... I'm Sorry Craig!!

number 97 Javine Touch My Fire
This years Eurovision hopeful get's to 97... it's more points than she scored us!

number 96 Daniel Bedingfield Wrap My Words Around You
The hairy Bedingfield! After a fab comeback album this year with two poor releases which did him no justice, he gets to 96 with this!

number 95 Brand New Heavies Surrender
This was one of the funky choons of the year which I loved at the time... now I guess it's sorta passed!

number 94 Britney Spears Do Somethin'
I don't think I need say anything?

number 93 Kelly Osbourne One Word
NEVER thought I'd see Kelly Osbourne getting onto the chart with her poor excuse for 'singing', but we gotta give it to her, this song was good!

number 92 Lucie Silvas Breathe In
Lucie's second entry is here - yet again a poor excuse for a song, her vocals are all over the shop on this, it's still enough to get her as high as 92! one Lucie song left...

number 91 Ciara 1, 2 Step
It's been an extremely successful year for this girl... man... girl... man... whatever?! I'll never forget seeing a guy singing EVERY word and dancing EVERY move to this outside a club in Cardiff at the beginning of the year! Unfortunately I didn't get one for my birthday as requested, she just misses the top 90 with this!

number 90 Rob Thomas Lonely No More
He is sexy, He is mature, He is Rob Thomas! and he's burst onto the music scene this year with a couple of outstanding songs - unfortunately this is his only appearance on the yearly chart, he's in at 90!

number 89 Gwen Stefani Cool
The first of a few entries for our Gwen - her album scored number one on my yearly chart last year, so we can expect big things from her on this years singles chart!

number 88 McFly I'll Be Okay
McFly have made an impact on the chart this year, despite their new grouping of singles not being half as good as the last, this is good enough to get them to 88!

number 87 Ben Adams Sorry
Ben Adams - how I used to love A1! Was reeeeally excited when I found out he was going solo - this song was rather disappointing but at least his style was fab and his look fabber! He's in at 87!

number 86 Daniel Bedingfield The Way
Second and final entry from the other one! This was the best of his attempts at chart success this year, unfortunately it was far from good enough - but at least by this time he was the hairy one no more! Let's hope his sister manages to go the family more justice as the chart goes on...

number 85 Keisha White Woman In Love
I saw her at Party In The Park and she was awesome! Woman In Love is in at 85!

number 84 Natalie Imbruglia Counting Down The Days
Second and final appearance from Imbruglia! Counting Down The Days was a nicer song, despite being rather predictable! Her best position this year is 84!

number 83 Lee Ryan Turn Your Car Around
Another boy band guy gone solo this year was Lee Ryan, his second release gets him this high! It's his only entry, but I'm sure we can expect some better things from next year?

number 82 Basement Jaxx Do Your Thing
This song just knocked me down when I first heard it! Fab song, great video!

number 81 KT Tunstall Suddenly I See
It's been a great year for this lady! Without doubt one of the best talents to come out of this year! She has much more coming up in the chart, and we'll see how her album fairs out in the album charts...

whats to come? We can expect more from the likes of Gwen Stefani, KT Tunstall, some dance, some jazz, some pop, some rnb, a bit of everything! Plus Kelly Clarksons 3 singles have successfully got at least top 80, we'll see how well she does this year!...
Keep your eyes on me...

Here goes the countdown of the top 10 albums, with numbers 10-5!

number ten BARBRA STREISAND Guilty Too
Wow! Wasn’t expecting this album to be as fabulous as it is! Barbra Streisand went back to the recording studio this year, and teamed up with Barry Gibb to release this excellent compilation of songs, filled with emotion, love, and experience.
I originally bought it for mum because she wanted it, but I’ve sorta taken over the disk myself, as it’s easy to get addicted to! You may all think I’ve lost the plot (not that I ever had it), but this quite easily makes the top 10 albums of 2005!
Top 3 songs:
3 Stranger In A Strange Land
2 All The Children
1 Night Of My Life

number nine SAVAGE GARDEN Truly, Madly, Completely
This is one thing I wasn’t expecting to come from this year! One of the best bands from the past decade have comeback with an excellent collection of songs to make up their greatest hits! They couldn’t have chose a better 10 songs to reflect on an excellent career, but to make things better, they threw in 2 newies and 5 b-sides! An excellent album which deserves all round applause!
Top 3 songs:
3 Break Me, Shake Me
2 I Knew I Loved You
1 The Animal Song

number eight KATIE MELUA Piece By Piece
In all fairness, I honestly haven’t given this album much time, as it was released in a particularly competitive period of the year, however, I have heard it all through a decent amount of times to know that Katie is once again offering an album as high quality as her last! Okay, so some of the songs need time to grow on you, but they truly are beautifully written and outstandingly performed! This album sees Katie making her mark in the industry, and quite proudly letting us know things will always get better!
Top 3 songs:
3 Nine Million Bicycles
2 Piece By Piece
1 I Cried For You

number seven ANASTACIA Pieces Of A Dream
Right, for the second year running Anastacia has failed to top the best albums chart! But she has once again, produced an album with an excellent collection of songs, four outstanding new tracks which not only reflect her amazing vocal capabilities, but also highlight her amazing ability to write touching songs! And then just when you thought it couldn’t get better, she throws in a second disk including 14 fantastic dance remixes of some of her best songs! Then thought whilst she was at it she’d just add the final touches with a unique book insted of your average CD cover... she doesn’t get much classier does she?
Top 5 songs:
5 Pieces Of A Dream
4 I’m Outta Love
3 Heavy On My Heart
2 I Belong To You
1 You’ll Never Be Alone

number six KT TUNSTALL Eye To The Telescope
This lady is undoubtedly the best new thing to come out of 2005! Even though it doesn’t create the greatest of first impressions, after a few listens you feel like you’ve had more than your 12.99’s worth! She has an extremely, rare, soft, unique voice which will send shivers down your spine at some points! We can expect more great things from Miss Tunstall in 2006!
Top 5 songs:
5 Miniature Disasters
4 Black Horse & The Cherry Tree
3 Another Place To Fall
2 Suddenly I See
1 Other Side Of The World

number five BACKSTREET BOYS Never Gone
Backstreets back (again!), and don’t we know it... they hit us at the beginning of the year with their fantastic ballad Incompletel, and this was only the start of what was to be, in my opinion, their best album to date! They’ve brought out a fresh new album, with plenty of new surprises, along with their old sound, all combined to make one masterpiece! It’s a shame it wasn’t properly marketed because this was one album with the potential to hit the top spot!
Top 5 songs:
5 Climbing The Walls
4 Poster Girl
3 I Still...
2 Rush Over Me
1 Siberia

-----------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow I shall be posting the next batch of singles!

Here we go with numbers 80-61!

ImageImageImageImage

number 80 Gwen Stefani Hollaback Girl
Even more Gwen on this years chart, she kicks off the top 80!

number 79 Amerie 1 Thing
Amerie should have bursted into the charts this year with this song, but in the end the song didn't seem all that exciting! Still... good enough to get her into the top 80!

number 78 2Pac & Elton John Ghetto Gospel
Surprising to see this get so high but 2pac and Elton are in at 78!

number 77 Jem Just A Ride
Jem has made a huge impact on the charts this year, we'll be seeing more from her later, but until then, Just A Rude is in at 77!

number 76 Mariah Carey Get Your Number
Mariah came back with a newish sound this year, and it's been fabulous, this is one of the highpoints of the last few months, Get Your Number only just misses the top 75!

number 75 The Faders Jump
And kicking off the top 75 is this rocky chick band The Faders with Jump!

number 74 Uniting Nations You & Me
The album was very disappointing, but when you listen to some of the songs individually, they ARE really good! You and Me was their follow up to Out Of Touch which did extraordinarily well last year, unfortunately this only gets to 74!

number 73 Faithless f/ Estelle Why Go
This song wowed me big style this year! A nice chill out song! Getting in at 73!

number 72 Gavin DeGraw I Don't Wanna Be
Gavin DeGraw came from the states, and he went back to the states, unfortunately he wasn't as successful as he potentially could have been over here, yet he still gets to number 72, something to be proud of Gav!

number 71 Bananarama Look On The Floor (Hypnotic Tango)
Bananarama are back! and they're better than ever, first of two appearances at 71!

number 70 Bob Sinclar Love Generation
More dance at 70!

number 69 MVP Rock Ya Body
This was one of the songs that made the soundtrack to this years holiday! There's a lot more of them to come, but MVP are gonna have to settle with 69!

number 68 Friday Hill Baby Goodbye
Blazin Squad were crap, however these three on their own sure did impress me! Im expecting bigger things from Friday Hill next year!

number 67 Daddy Yankee Gasolina
Another soundtrack song to the summer, Daddy Yankee is in at 67!

number 66 David Gray The One I Love
David Grays return to the industry this year is a warmly welcomed one! He should be getting higher placements with other songs from his outstanding album next year! For now he's gonna have to settle with 66!

number 65 Goldfrapp Number One
Not a massive fan of alternative but Goldfrapp have impressed me a treat this year, Number One is in at 65!

number 64 Dancing DJs vs. Roxette Fading Like A Flower
This was an awesome dance choon for the summer, well... late summer! Dancing DJs made this an excellent dance remix, it's in at 64!

number 63 Darren Hayes So Beautiful
This song is so beautifully written and sang, Darren Hayes sounds awesome on it, he's slightly lower than I'd first imagine but 63 is a great position!

number 62 Stonebridge f/ Ultra Nate Freak On
Stonebridge topped the chart last year, they still have one more song to come in this chart, is it gonna keep them on their throne? Until then they're here with Freak On!

number 61 Goldfrapp Ooh La La
and finally for today, Goldfrapp give us their second top 70 choon, with Ooh La La!
Keep your eyes on me...

album numberfour WESTLIFE Face To Face

Image

The loife are back, and gladly they're back to normal, as opposed to the embarrassment that was Allow Us To Be Frank!

Their new-ish album Face To Face, of course hit the top spot on the charts, and stuck there for two weeks! It includes 12 fantabulous songs, all of which gain the guys a 4* plus rating (yes, even their poor re-recording of When You Tell Me That You Love Me, with Diana Ross!)

It also sees the guys recording another pop anthem, that being the fantastic Hit You With The Real Thing.

The album has an excellent collection of songs and guarantees the guys aint going anywhere yet! They're tour is destin to be a sell-out success and this album is the start of your new-look Westlife!

Top 5 songs:
5 - When You Tell Me That You Love Me
4 - You Raise Me Up
3 - Colour My World
2 - Amazing
1 - Hit You With The Real Thing
Keep your eyes on me...

... and so we continue with the singles...

ImageImageImageImage

number 60 Mariah Carey We Belong Together
Undoubtedly one of the best Mariah songs in recent times, here we see her getting back to what she sorta used to be! Loved this song, a nice snuggly song for the loved up ones

number 59 Michael Bublé Home
This is what originally got me into Michael Bublé, first heard it when I went to see The Wedding Date (I think thats what film it was), and from then on I've loved it, and him!

number 58 DHT feat Edmee Listen To Your Heart
One of the more recent dance choons... hope it does better for itself in this weeks charts!

number 57 Pussycat Dolls Stickwitu
The first of two PCD songs in this chart, Stickwitu is in at 57!

number 56 U2 Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
One of my all-time favourite U2 songs here

number 55 Basement Jaxx Oh My Gosh
Lyrics and video cracked me up! Excellent effort from the Jaxx!

number 54 Angel City Sunrise
They didnt get credited enough for this fab song, which is definately one of their best! Of course credit must go to the wonderful vocals of Lara McAllen too!

number 53 Lucie Silvas Don't Look Back
The best Lucie song to date is here at 53! Crap video but in all fairness to her, she looks good in it!

number 52 KT Tunstall Black Horse And The Cherry Tree
KT's second of 3 entries is here at 52!

number 51 Will Smith Switch
Mostprobably the only Will Smith song I actually like... this cracking choon is at 51! Don't expect anymore from him...

number 50 Estelle Go Gone
Go, Go, Go, Go, Gone, Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah etc. ... PURE FABBYNESS!

number 49 Soul Central Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own)
Another excellent dance track to come out of this year, Soul Central & Kathy Brown at 49!

number 48 Verbalicious Don't Play Nice
I think she's Lady Sovereign and crap now? But the one we loved at Verbalicious like, is here at 48!

number 47 Green Day Wake Me Up When September Ends
Green Day have made their mark on this years chart, their slow offering is at 47!

number 46 Gwen Stefani feat Eve Rich Girl
Na na na na na na... this was my working anthem, singing this whilst cleaning tables in the hut! aaaaaaahhh!

number 45 Avril Lavigne He Wasn't
Another Avril anthem - can't wait for her comeback, performing a lot worse than last year, Avril is in at 45!

number 44 Green Day Holiday
again!

number 43 Sunset Strippers Falling Stars
It was all about SS vs Cabin Crew, these obviously came out shining... NOTHING to do with the cute guy in the video!

number 42 Brian McFadden feat Delta Goodrem Almost Here
This would mostprobably have been higher if she chose someone who could sing to duet with! Brian & Delta are almost in the top 40, but have to settle for 42!

number 41 Green Day Jesus Of Suburbia
And the final Green Day song on the chart (they're all rather grouped in the top 50!), this amazing medley of pure rock genius, sadly JUST misses the top 40! Sorry guys!

Im away tomorrow and Wednesday, so the next installment should be either Thursday (dependant on what time I get home!) or Friday!

C ya guys xx
