Hey you lot, hope you are all well. Last year I started this at the very end of November - and true to form, didn't finish on time, so I'm back a little earlier to kick off proceedings this year.

There's more of a chance the more I'm absent that a few of you won't have any idea of me or my taste, so as an update, here are my top 10 for the last four years!

2006
10. Ordinary Boys - Boys Will Be Boys
09. Justin Timberlake - SexyBack
08. Keisha White - The Weakness In Me
07. Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Oooh
06. The Kooks - Naïve
05. Pussycat Dolls ft. Snoop Dogg - Buttonz
04. Jason Mraz - Geek In The Pink
03. Matt Willis - Up All Night
02. James Morrison - The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore
01. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

2005
10. Darius - Live Twice
09. Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You
08. James Blunt - You're Beautiful
07. KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See
06. Big Ang ft. Siobhan - It's Over Now
05. Kelly Clarkson - Behind These Hazel Eyes
04. Estelle - Go Gone
03. Eminem - Mockingbird
02. Daniel Bedingfield - Wrap My Words Around You
01. KT Tunstall - Black Horse And The Cherry Tree

2004
10. 2Play ft. Raghav & Juxci D - So Confused
09. Brian Mcfadden - Real To Me
08. Eric Prydz - Call On Me
07. V - Can You Feel It?
06. Lemar - If There's Any Justice
05. Jamelia - Stop
04. D-Side - Pushin' Me Out
03. JoJo - Leave (Get Out)
02. Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath
01. Britney Spears - Toxic

2003
10. Jamelia - Superstar
09. Melanie C - Melt
08. Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River
07. D-Side - Real World
06. Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One
05. Lisa Scott-Lee - Lately
04. S Club 8 - Fool No More (jeeeez I was young!)
03. Sinead Quinn - I Can't Break Down
02. Stacie Orrico - Stuck
01. Lisa Scott-Lee - Too Far Gone

Much improved from 2003-2006, I hope you'll agree! In this poll are twelve choices, one of which is my top song of the year. The others are not guaranteed to even have made the top 100, so we will see who knows me and who really doesn't! Pick the song you think will top my chart and in a few days we will get started and find out!

Oh and let me know your predictions, I want to see who is right and who is wrong!

Adam :)

I haven't really got much of an idea, but I do recall you saying you liked Kate Nash a lot, so I'm going to predict her :D

Ohh, looking forward to seeing this...you might inspire me to start mine soon as it's almost ready.

10. Ordinary Boys - Boys Will Be Boys
07. Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Oooh
03. Matt Willis - Up All Night
01. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Ordinary Boys is a classic tune, one of my favourites of their's! Girls Aloud is hard to fault, Matt Willis - loved that song. Snow Patrol, great tune too.

2005
10. Darius - Live Twice
09. Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You
07. KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See

I don't know a lot of your top 10 there...I like Darius, though cant recall the song. Kelly and Kt are awesome.

2004
08. Eric Prydz - Call On Me
02. Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath
01. Britney Spears - Toxic

3 classic pop tunes.

2003
10. Jamelia - Superstar
05. Lisa Scott-Lee - Lately
03. Sinead Quinn - I Can't Break Down
02. Stacie Orrico - Stuck
01. Lisa Scott-Lee - Too Far Gone

Young or not, I'd still spin these.

Voting Maximo Park.

Well given you were bordering on ridiculously obsessive about her in one MSN conversation, I'm going to have to agree with the masses on this one.

I'd rather be with your friends mate,
cause they are much... fitter

I've actually gone for Michael Buble. Not in the least because it is fantastic.8-)

This is the first time that I haven't had time to compile my own chart but I'm still looking forward to these year end countdowns.

Judging from the poll options, I'm looking forward to this chart and it's probably gonna be the closest year yet to my own personal tastes.

Pretty darned unanimous! Let's go...

First of all I would like to mention two songs I had in the chart but removed when I spotted omissions.. bad luck to KT Tunstall's 'Hold On' and Kelly Rowlands 'Like This', both great tunes but that just missed out.

100. Ross Copperman - All She Wrote
Image
Ross Copperman is a major new talent, who is getting a bit overlooked to be honest. martinp got me his album for a quid and it's decent stuff, this first single being a good singalong bit of piano pop-rock

099. Amerie – Gotta Work
Image
The criminally underperforming Amerie was back this year, this was her best effort, the incredibly infectious Gotta Work. It did wear off a bit quick but it's a great song to have a dance to.

098. Kano feat Craig David – This Is The Girl
Image
I didn't think much of Kano before to be honest, I liked 'Typical Me' but otherwise I wasn't too fussed. This I thought brought his talent to a new commercial level, with a helping hand from the UK's hottest male, Mr David. Catchy.

097. Ciara – Like A Boy
Image
This edgy, innovative Ciara single was the one which really made me appreciate her as a great performer, she sang and danced through this like a trouper everywhere. It was something new and I liked it.

096. Freaks - The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor)
Image
A dancefloor smash. This tune was accompanied by a wicked video and was one of the dance songs of the year. I've heard it a bit too much but it's still excellent.

095. Craig David - Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)
Image
And here he is again, bowing out. I think Craig is one of our best national talents, this song was great but not up with his greatest. So out bows one option... one which...err... none of you chose!

094. Maximo Park - Karaoke Plays
Image
On the album I thought this was nothing special, but the single release as so often happens has prompted me into thinking it's actually a quality track. Not their best but great nonetheless.

093. Ben’s Brother – Let Me Out
Image
A truly beautiful ballad, the lead singer (Ben's Brother?) has a lovely vocal. Not a band I've heard alot else of but this was very radio friendly. I like!

092. Paolo Nutini – New Shoes
Image
The most upbeat, catchy song from Paolo's debut CD, one that instantly connected with me on the album and was made greater by a really fun video. Stuck around for ages too. Very good.

091. Magic Numbers – This Is A Song
Image
I first heard of Magic Numbers when I saw them support Athlete and though I have not got any of their material, I think this is one of their strongest songs, the verse is insanely catchy!

Freaks - The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor) is such a fantastic tune.

Maximo Park are quality and knack for some good catchy songs in 2007.

Paolo Nutini reminds me of Radio 1 playing him every single time I tuned it, not a bad song though.

Haven't heard the rest so that's the reasoning of my short comment.

100. Ross Copperman - All She Wrote
he's nice, the album has few good songs, but I'm quite sure he won't go anywhere from here..

099. Amerie – Gotta Work
098. Kano feat Craig David – This Is The Girl

not good :P

097. Ciara – Like A Boy
I like it

096. Freaks - The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor)
would do without it

095. Craig David - Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)
not as bad as it could be, I guess :D

094. Maximo Park - Karaoke Plays
album highlight, no doubt here

093. Ben’s Brother – Let Me Out
nice, but far too simple...

092. Paolo Nutini – New Shoes
this is nice, just got boring somehow

091. Magic Numbers – This Is A Song
not as good as "Take A Chance", but still not among their usual dull crap.. alright
