Lovely description!JakeP wrote:It does have that summer anthem vibe about the track, but i'm just so happy its giving Rita Ora so much success. The public seem to have taken the song to their charts, its #1 on iTunes and slowly but surely increasing on Spotify. It will be gutting though for this sublime slice of fizzy pop to stall at #2 in the UK charts.![]()
I'm also rooting for it to get the UK #1 spot!
Aw, really? I remember telling one of my friends that if I were an artist, Mika most closely resembles the kind of artist I would (like to) be. I adore his music. He's a big contender for my all-time favourite male act. This isn't even the first time "Rain" has been #1 here, and I've used those lyrics as the thread title, and someone's come in disappointed that it's not Elvis at #1.JakeP wrote:...and so onto today's chart. I read your subtitle "caught in a trap" and i thought of Suspicious minds by Elvis.![]()

I'm not really into Mika, don't even think i've ever heard Rain. I used to find his singing really irritating when he started out.![]()

I do love "Suspicious Minds," though, and it's surprising that it hasn't hit #1 here before. Its peak is a rather disappointing #8.
Yeah, I've been doing Missy Elliott a disservice for far too long. "Get Ur Freak On" is a past #1, though.JakeP wrote:Has Work it really never been in your chart before now? That's one of Missy Elliott's most iconic singles. Better late than never.![]()
They were part of a little workout session I had.JakeP wrote:LOL at the Work treble. Was that planned or a pure co-incidence?

One of the biggest global hits of all-time, in fact! So even less pressure, Luis...JakeP wrote:09.(NE) Luis Fonsi - Échame la Culpa (feat. Demi Lovato)
It's gonna be very interesting to see how successful this track becomes coming off the back of Despacito which is surely the biggest worldwide hit of 2017? No pressure Luis...
