Why? I've already posted info about its movement on different charts, I think it will go on climbing and it will be a massive summer hit. One of the reasons is that Eleni was gorgeous on the semi-final and she was dancing and singing at the same time, a very hard thing to do.Fuego is vastly over-rated
I think Blondini might've been referring to the love for Fuego on UK Mix rather than worldwide charts. Although i love the song, its easily been my most played eurovision entry this year and Eleni totally nailed her semi final performance. I've ended up watching that more than her grand final performance and official music video.Top10 wrote:Just as I said. Why? If you think there's lack of variety, only glance at the charts of Eastern Europe and Russia, there's always something interesting to see. It isn't because of Spotify, possibly people just listen to different kind of music and still use the conventional mass media to inform themselves. These lists have nothing in common with the local ones of Youtube, Spotify, e.g. Tbh, 'Fuego' is exactly prepared for these nations, but I believe it will gain brief success in the West and 2 more weeks in a row on the top of this chart. Probably Netta will drop out soon, users here will overburn her track too fast.Sadly Fuego is unlikely to climb up countries charts because they all resort to Spotify these days, and without streaming success very few singles can be successful anymore. I long for the iTunes hayday circa 2009-2013 when songs sold because people wanted to buy them. Not like now where i'd guess 75%+ of Spotify free account users want to listen to strictly urban rap music. These people are just like all those who downloaded music illegally 15 years ago, the difference is today all that free music consumption counts towards the charts. It also makes the charts so boring and lack variety.
Not this week, no :Phoenixx wrote:Done For Me and Chun Li didn't get points from any other user?
Maybe the first weekly update after its release of the charts of most or all of the members who are now listing that one was too late for the previous UKmixParade - it hadn't scored any points at all then, not even appearing in any of the top fives that were posted on Saturday 12th May.Blondini wrote:Surprised Gambino didn't chart seven days ago.
There may be other instances - but I can see five more times before this year (in two of which, under the old rules, you were able to have the same hit in more than one position in the top five) :stevyy wrote:wow i had my entire top 5 charting. i know it won't happen in the new week, but still.. I did it.
I'm not sure how often it happened so far.. I guess I made it 3 times in the past 10 years.
