swiftie13's Weekly Charts - Re-Invention (Again)

Postby swiftie13 » Sat Jan 08, 2011 11:44 pm

This is my first chart. Don't be surprised if you see a bunch of Taylor Swift and Ke$ha. At the end of the year I'll add up all the pints and compile a Top 25 Year End. Songs are ranked by airplay from anywhere (MP3, radio, computer, etc.)(Not very accurate), how much I like a song (it's a %), and using Billboard Charts (this has little impact in the ranking).Remixes and alternate versions (e.g. Haunted [Acoustic Version] count towards the original song). For airplay I'll make estimations of how much times I've heard the song and write it down.

[*Songs with Alternate Versions]

Singles Top 10

1. Back To December* - Taylor Swift (First #1)~ 40 plays (100%) Currently #25 on Hot 100
2. Mine*- Taylor Swift ~ 35 plays (93%) #31
3. Haunted*- Taylor Swift ~ 20 plays (100%) Not Charting
4. We R Who We Are- Ke$ha ~ 20 plays (90%)#3
5. Firework- Katy Perry ~ 10 plays (98%)#1
6. Grenade - Bruno Mars ~ 15 plays (92%)#2
7. Raise Your Glass- Pink ~ 13 plays (90%)#5

9.Dog Days Are Over-Florence and The Machine ~5 plays (99%) #54
10.Turn On The Radio- Reba ~ 5 plays (95%)#71

For the albums what counts is me liking it (%), the popularity, and my made up sales (they sales are imaginary)

The poll question is well-written?

Anyway, my favorite album on that list is Doo-Wops & Holligans, followed by Speak Now then Teenage Dream 8-)

no surprise that a Taylor fan would have an excellent personal chart ;) but in terms of ballads on Speak Now, I actually prefer "Enchanted" to "BTD" and "Haunted", though it's cool to hear Taylor experiment with a more pop/rock sound on "Haunted".

This week and for the rest of the year I'll try to not make Taylor Swift the only number one, what can I say I'm obsessed! Just wait for the charts, new songs and albums will be added it's not all going to be Taylor Swift I Promise! . Hopefully you'll like it. And I agree with you about Enchanted, it's an epic, well-sung, almost 6 minute song. I love it.

Since there were poor sales last week, I will try to simulate that, but in a much smaller scale. Also I'm going to stop showing
how much the song was played because it's TOO hard. :)
I remembered about some old songs that are great and are debuting on this chart.
Who will be number one next week? Taylor or Bruno?
Remember that the % beside the song
is how much I love the song ATM.

Here is my top ten singles this week:

*=Gainer

*1.Back To December-Taylor Swift (100%) #25 on actual H100
*2.Greatest Gainer Grenade-Bruno Mars(It's on the radio all the time!) (99%)#1 on H100
3.We R Who We R-Ke$ha (95%) #4 on H100
*4.DEBUT Animal Habits (95%) #27 on H100

*6.DEBUT Please Don't Go- Mike Psner #24 on H100
*7.DEBUT Secrets-OneRepublic (90%) #28 on H100
*8.DEBUT Ni Una Palabra- Anahi (100%0 Not Charting
*9.Coming Home- Diddy Dirty Money (85%) #20 on H100
10.Dog Days Are Over-Florence + the Machine (87%) #54

ALBUMS Just like with the singles the battle is between Taylor and Bruno
but this week album sales are lower. I try to go with realistic figures.
This year sucks though (in real life)
I added to the thingy below "total sales this year" to hep me compile an year end chart.

My imaginary sales. I make them up so I can keep track of the best seller. I think that's what you are asking. For the single I will use points. #1 gets 10 points, #2 9 points.. etc.

I've been lovin' "The Sky's The Limit" this past week too :D also great to see "Hungover" debut! I really hope Ke$ha releases one of her slower songs soon, she's got several great ones ("Hungover", "Blind", "The Harold Song", "C U Next Tuesday").

I completely agree with you, plus when Cannibal was released The Harold Song was actually downloaded more than most songs (14k) on that EP.

*1.Back To December- Taylor Swift (It takes the crown once again) :P
*2.Wide Awake- Joe McElderry Greatest Gainer

Once again this album is number one, this week it sold 60,000 in my imaginary world. Its been number one for all 5 weeks.

2. Joe McElderry- Wide Awake 57,000

3. Jason Derulo 55,000 NEW PEAK

4.Doo Ops and Hooligans- Bruno Mars (This week I wasn't feeling Bruno-ish as you can see) 52,000

5.Teenage Dream- Katy Perry 43,000

6.Fearless Taylor Swift 40,000

7. Kelly Clarkson All I Ever Wanted 39,000

8.Taylor Swift- Taylor Swift 30,000

9.Cannibal EP- Ke$ha 18,000

10.Mi Delirio-Anahi 17,000

Next Week expect Bruno to climb, Speak Now to increase (due to real-life iTunes promo), and some songs to fall off my top 10. It's time for some new songs. Maybe a new #1 too.
