1 Ke$ha - This Is Me 1 6 6 11

Since Ke$ha made no.5 back in 2009, it took her until 2017 to be back in my top 20 with "Learn To Let Go", which went on to top my chart. Her only other charting songs as lead artist where "Shots On The Hood Of My Car" (no.29) and "Die Young" (no.31). Now in 2018 she is not only back in the top 20 again, but back at the top with "This Is Me", climbing to the top in its 4th week around.

George Ezra scored 3 top 5 hits from his debut, including chart topper "Cassy O", and now returns at no.4 as "Paradise" is the weeks biggest climber. It's also joined in the top 10 by "Good Girls Don't Lie", a second top 10 hit for Ruth Lorenzo, now at no.7.

As Oliver Nelson, Wale and Jaded move towards my top 10, the highest new entry comes at no.15 and it's another hit for Eamon. Following his mid 00s success, he returned last year reaching no.5 with "I Got Soul", he now follows it up with "Be My Girl".

Just behind at no.19 it's "Cakin", the debut for Yogi, which features Lady Leshurr, giving her a 7th appearance, following featuring on a no.1 for Etta James and a no.3 for Vince Kidd, it's also the first appearance by D.R.A.M.

"DANCE" is the 6th hit for DNCE at no.25, they reached no.3 in 2016 with "Cake By The Ocean".

Next two acts who had a big hit together, "Not In Love" made no.20 in 2016 for M.O ft.Kent Jones. This week Kent gets a third hit as "Merengue" enters at no.29 and M.O get their 6th as "Bad Vibe" is new at no.30, also giving Lotto Boyz their debut and Mr Eazi a third hit.

Eurovision season is upon us and last year saw a record number of entries reach my chart, the first comes this week for Mikolas Josef at no.34 with "Lie To Me". The song is the Czech Republic entry. Their only other charting hit came from Gabriela Guncikova, who made no.17 in 2016 with "I Stand".

Indie group Embrace had a run of hits between 1998-2006 and finally return to my chart with "Never" new at no.38. Kylie Minogue topped my chart in 2002 with "In Your Eyes" and had no.2's in 2010 with "All The Lovers" and "Get Out Of My Way" as well as a no.2 in 2005 with "Giving You Up". In recent years she made no.35 with "Into The blue" in 2014, no.21 in 2015 with "Bette Davis Eyes" and no.40 in 2016 with "This Wheels On Fire". Now she's back with "Dancing" at no.43. Also in the top 50 a debut from Stereorganism and Jamiroquai get a fourth hit from their latest album.

1 George Ezra - Paradise 1 4 36

So just a week on top for Ke$ha who slides to 2 this week to allow another artist getting their second chart topper on top. It's George Ezra, who topped my chart with "Cassy O" back in 2014. His 6th hit, "Paradise" is his second to make the top. The top 5 also sees the highest new entry this week and it comes from old favourite, Kate Nash. Kate had 6 number one hits stretching across all 3 of her albums, but has been a little quieter lately. Her last time at the top came in 2013 with "OMYGOD", but in recent years her only appearance was on 2016 hit "Good Summer" which made no.12. For the first time in 5 years she's in my top 10 as "Drink About You" starts at no.4.

Ruth Lorenzo creeps up to no.6 with "Good Girls Dont Lie" and then we have 2 rappers in my top 10 for the first time. Both have appeared on top 20 hits for other people, but now go top 10 in their own right, first up is Wale at no.8 with "My Love", bringing Major Lazers top 10 hits up to 13 and Dua Lipas to 5. The other is Kent Jones, moving up to no.10 with "Merengue".

Eamon, Oliver Nelson, Daddy Yankee and Jaded all improve on their top 20 hits, just outisde my top 10, while the second highest new entry comes at no.16 for Steve Aoki. "Azukita" is Steve's 5th top 20 hit, but his first as lead artist. He peaked when he topped my chart with Afrojack on 2011's "No Beef", his previous biggest hit as lead artist was all the way back in 2010 when "I'm In The House" made no.22. The latest also features Daddy Yankee who gets 2 top 20 hits this week, it's also a first hit for Play-N-Skillz and a second for Elvis Crespo.

Chvrches get their 6th hit this week, their first 5 came between 2013-2016 and all peaked between no.35 and no.49, with "The Mother We Share" previously being their biggest hit. "Get Out" outpeaks them all though starting now at no.25.

Iggy Azalea's second album is taking some coming, this week her latest single "Savior" starts at no.29, the same position she made last year with "Mo Bounce", it's her 9th hit in all, but some way away from the three top 10 hits she had in 2013 from her debut album. The song also gives Quavo his 4th guest appearance, the other 3 all went top 10.

When Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott joined forces back in 2006 they topped my chart with "This Is How We Do It Over Here", they regroup this week and start at no.31 with "Get It", the song also features Kelly Rowland. In recent years Busta peaked with "Doin It Again" a no.13 in 2013, "Motivation" was Rowlands last hit of any note, making no.4 in 2011 and Missy topped my chart on 2015's "WTF". In all the trio have appeared on no less than 68 number ones on my chart(!!)

Vicetone made no23 in 2016 on "Anywhere I Go", and this week follow it with "Fix You" new at no.34. The Neighbourhood made no.15 on 2012's "Female Robbery" and finally follow it up with "Stuck With Me", new at no.40, and finally no.42 is a debut for Hoseah Partsch with "Paper Planes".

2 Saara Aalto - Monsters 2
1 Loren Allred - Never Enough 1

Well all week it looked like Saara Aalto was a dead cert for a number one debut, then yesterday I went to watch The Greatest Showman...

In the end it's Loren Allred who leads 6 top 10 new entries with "Never Enough" from the aforementioned soundtrack. There are 5 new entries from the film altogether, with 4 in the top 10, the other being "Rewrite The Stars" at no.3, giving Zac Efron his first entry and Zendaya her second, following "Something New", a no.32 in 2016. Keala Settle gets her debut at no.4 with "This Is Me", the same song that Ke$ha topped my chart with a couple of weeks ago, and Hugh Jackman's barndance track, "From Now On" is new at no.10, further down at no.25 is "Tightrope", by Michelle Williams, not to be confused with the Destinys Child backing singer.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Saara Aalto makes her debut with "Monsters" at no.2, it's potentially the second song from this years Eurovision to enter my chart, as it's one of three songs shes releasing for the Finnish selection. Czech Republic's Mikolas Josef meanwhile moves into the top 20, now at no.19. While SuRie from the UK could be the first British track to miss my chart since Bonnie Tyler, Jaz Ellington makes his debut at no.26 with "You", another of the UK selection hopefuls. Back in 2016 Darline topped my chart with "Until Tomorrow", beating the no.25 peak of "You're Not Alone", Joe & Jakes chosen UK entry.

There's a further new entry at no.6, and it's for 5 time chart toppers NERD and "Don't Don't Do It!", the follow up to "Lemon", which despite a lengthy chart run only peaked at no.30, this marks their first top 10 hit since 2010 chart topper "Hypnotize You" and also gives rapper, Kendrick Lamar his 11th charting hit, only outpeaked by 2015's no.5 "King Kunta".

Aretha Franklin had a few minor hits on my chart in the 00's, before topping my chart in 2014 with her version of "Rolling In The Deep", with her Royal Philharmonic Orchestra album now out, a version of her 1973 hit "Angel" debuts at no.16. The RP Orchestra have also given Elvis Presley 3 hits previous, including 2015 no.4 "Burning Love".

Calvin Harris scored 4 hits from his 2017 album including no.1 "Slide", he follows it up now with "Nuh Ready Nuh Ready" at no.36. It features PARTYNEXTDOOR who also appeared on last years no.6 "Run Up" by Major Lazer.

Finally, following last years no.37, "Sooner Or Later", Aaron Carter returns at no.48 with "Don't Say Goodbye".
